VH1 Presents MARTHA & SNOOP'S POTLUCK PARTY CHALLENGE

VH1, in partnership with Sequential Brands Group (NASDAQ: SQBG), MERRY JANE and 495 Productions, today announced the hit series 'Martha & Snoop's Potluck Dinner Party' will return with a new competitive recipe: ten battle-themed specials in 'Martha & Snoop's Potluck Party Challenge.' The specials will pit the hosts and their teammates against each other as they compete in friendly culinary challenges filled with recipe tips, meme-able moments and Instagram-worthy dishes with the hopes of winning over a celebrity judge for the coveted 'Potluck Party Platter' prize.

Cleopatra Entertainment To Release ROOM 37 – THE MYSTERIOUS DEATH OF JOHNNY THUNDERS Worldwide on VOD 5/21

Cleopatra Entertainment has set a release date for their production ROOM 37 – THE MYSTERIOUS DEATH OF JOHNNY THUNDERS, a supernatural horror-thriller written and directed by the Cordero Brothers – Vicente Cordero and Fernando Cordero Caballero. The film features Leo Ramsey, Devin McGregor Ketko, Timothy Lee-Priest, and Jason Lasater, and includes the infamous Johnny Thunders song 'Born to Lose,” along with a vocal appearance by legendary New York Dolls member Sylvain Sylvain. Produced by Shanti Whitney, the film was executive produced by Brian Perera, Yvonne Perera, and co-produced by Tim Yasui. The film is also set for its UK premiere on March 24th at the second annual Sound Screen Music & Film Festival at the Regent Street Cinema in London, England, which runs from March 22nd thru March 27th. The premier occurs just weeks before the 28th Anniversary of Thunder's mysterious death (April 23rd, 1991) and tickets for the premier can be purchased directly from the Theater here. Cleopatra will debut the film on Tuesday, May 21st worldwide on all VOD platforms. 

English Touring Theatre Announces Autumn 2019 Season

With the critically-acclaimed Equus and The Funeral Director currently touring the UK, English Touring Theatre today announces the full tour dates for its Autumn 2019 Season. The company, in a co-production with Royal & Derngate, present the revival of August Wilson's Two Trains Running directed by the 2018 winner of the RTST Sir Peter Hall Director Award, Nancy Medina. Then, in a co-production with Sheffield Theatres, they present the world premiere stage adaptation of Matt Haig's Reasons to Stay Alive.

Alysia Reiner Will Host the 2019 Collaboration Awards Gala at SVA Theater

The Women in the Arts & Media Coalition will present the 2019 Collaboration Awards. which recognize women who successfully collaborate to create new and influential work, at the SVA Theater (333 West 23rd St, New York, NY 10011) on Saturday, March 30 at 6:30pm. The 2019 Collaboration Awards Gala, which is being held on International SWAN Day (Support Women Artists Now), will be hosted by SAG Award-winning actor and producer Alysia Reiner (Fig on Orange is the New Black on Netflix). Awarded biennially, the Collaboration Awards encourage professional women in the arts and media from different disciplines to work collaboratively on the creation of new work. The award recognizes the best of these collaborations and goes to a winning project and its two creators. 2019 marks the sixth time the Collaboration Awards have been presented.

9th Annual St. Louis Teen Talent Competition Chooses 15 High School Acts for Final Event

On Saturday, March 9th, 45 metro area high school acts competed in the Semi-final round of the 9th Annual St. Louis Teen Talent Competition.  St. Louis performing arts professionals judged the performances and narrowed the field to 15 acts (24 individuals) who will move on to the finals on Saturday, April 13th at 8pm at The Fabulous Fox Theatre (a list of acts can be found here).  In addition to the thrill of performing on the Fox Stage, contestants are eligible to win college scholarships, prizes and performance opportunities.  'We couldn't be happier with the level of talent. The students seem to get better and better each year,' exclaimed Mary Strauss, Fox Performing Arts Charitable Foundation Board President Emeritus.  The final competition is a professionally produced production that is FREE and open to the public.  General Admission tickets are required and available now at no charge at The Fabulous Fox box office and through Metrotix.  

Truth Club Announces Debut Album 'Not An Exit'

Tiny Engines is thrilled to announce its latest signing Truth Club, the Raleigh quartet whose guitar rock recalls the minimalist sounds of Parquet Courts, Ought, Flasher, and Protomartyr. The band's debut album Not An Exit will be released on May 3, and today they share its title track. Stereogum, who premiered the song today, call it 'an intense and nervy song about being trapped within yourself and coming to the realization that there are no easy outs. Threaded through are Travis Harrington's vocals, which howl and growl and lock in dead-eyed with the rest of his band.'

The monologue showcase 50 in 50: Letters to Our Daughters features an all-star cast of familiar names and faces from stage and screen, including Tony award-winning Broadway star LaChanze, actress Pauletta Pearson Washington, original Hamilton cast member Jasmine Cephas Jones, and actress and comedienne Phyllis Yvonne Stickney who bring to life letters written by 50 women of color about their hopes, dreams, regrets and fears for their daughters.

Cast Announced for Luis Valdez's World Premiere ADIÓS MAMÁ CARLOTA

San Jose Stage Company (Randall King, Artistic Director and Cathleen King, Executive Director) has announced the complete cast and creative team for The Stage's next production, the World Premiere of Luis Valdez's ADIÓS MAMÁ CARLOTA. Presented in partnership with El Teatro Campesino and directed by Kinan Valdez, ADIÓS MAMÁ CARLOTA will run from April 3 - 28 2019 at San Jose Stage Company (490 South 1st Street, San Jose, CA, 95113).

Royal Stratford East's EQUUS Opens Today

English Touring Theatre and Theatre Royal Stratford East today announce the full cast for Ned Bennett's bold new production of Peter Shaffer's critically-acclaimed classic, psychological thriller Equus. Bennett directs Robert Finch (Frank Strang/Horse), Keith Gilmore (Harry Dalton/Nurse/Horse), Ethan Kai (Alan Strang), Syreeta Kumar (Dora Strang/Horse), Norah Lopez Holden (Jill Mason/Horse), Ruth Lass (Hester Salomon/Horse), Ira Mandela Siobhan (Young Horseman/Nugget) and Zubin Varla (Martin Dysart) completes the cast. The production opens at Theatre Royal Stratford East on 21 February, with previews from 15 February and runs until 23 March prior to embarking on a UK tour to Cambridge Arts Theatre, Theatre Royal Bath, Bristol Old Vic, The Lowry, Northern Stage and Yvonne Arnaud Theatre.
