Con un programa que incluye la presentación de las obras Cuauhnáhuac, de Silvestre Revueltas, en el 120 aniversario de su natalicio, y Móvil II, de Manuel Enríquez, en su 25 aniversario luctuoso, además de tres estrenos mundiales y un estreno en México, se llevará a cabo el concierto de la Orquesta de Cámara de Bellas Artes (OCBA), bajo la batuta de Christian Gohmer como director invitado, en el marco del 41 Festival Internacional de Música Nueva Manuel Enríquez.

The Provincetown Tennessee Williams Theater Festival is excited to announce that New York City-based drag performer Yuhua Hamasaki (RuPaul's Drag Race) and actor James Yaegashi (Marvel's Runaways) will star in the Festival's one-time-only staged reading of Yukio Mishima's camp classic The Black Lizard at Provincetown Town Hall (260 Commercial Street) on September 29.

The world-renowned South African theater artists Fred Abrahamse and Marcel Meyer have been bringing vibrant works to the Provincetown Theater stage (238 Bradford Street, Provincetown, MA.), in conjunction with the annual Tennessee Williams Theater Festival, since 2013. This year, Abrahamse and Meyer return for a special month-long artists' residency at the Provincetown Theater to create their new interpretation of Williams' The Night of the Iguana for the 2019 TWTF (Sept 26-29). While in-residence at Provincetown Theater, starting September 12th a?" and for 8 performances only -- the company will revive their acclaimed production of Yukio Mishima's hauntingly sensual love story The Lady Aoi.

La Compañía Nacional de Teatro del Instituto Nacional de Bellas Artes y Literatura (INBAL) realizó el domingo 2 de junio un homenaje a Rosenda Monteros, actriz emérita de la CNTeatro, en la última función de la temporada de La Celestina, obra clásica que dirigiría en conjunto con Ruby Tagle, quien quedó al frente del proyecto tras el fallecimiento de Rosenda en diciembre pasado.

San Francisco International Arts Festival Publishes Schedule of Performances for THE PATH TO DEMOCRACY

The San Francisco International Arts Festival (SFIAF) is pleased to reveal the full schedule of performances for the 2019 Festival that will run from May 23 - June 2 and have as a central theme The Path to Democracy. As the dark clouds of nationalism and fascism re-assert themselves on the global stage, SFIAF looks at some of the struggles for democracy past and present and how they manifest themselves in different cultures. The Festival will take place at, and in partnership with, the Fort Mason Center for Arts & Culture.
