The Cleveland Orchestra will open its 104th season on October 14 and 17, 2021, with performances featuring Franz Welser-Möst leading Cleveland Orchestra premieres of Richard Strauss's Macbeth and Joan Tower's A New Day (for cello and orchestra) with Alisa Weilerstein in a program that also includes Prokofiev's Fifth Symphony.

Los Angeles Philharmonic today announced the LA Phil’s 2021/22 season at Walt Disney Concert Hall, heralding the long-awaited resumption of live concerts at the iconic venue following a 19-month closure due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

Los Angeles-based Weezer’s performance with members of the Los Angeles Philharmonic and YOLA (Youth Orchestra Los Angeles), the band’s first time performing with an orchestra, has been added to LA Phil Media’s Sound/Stage series and is set for release on June 11, 2021.

For the 10th consecutive season, Carnegie Hall and WQXR will unite to present Carnegie Hall Live, a series of exciting broadcast concerts—drawing upon some of the finest live performances from Carnegie Hall’s stages over the past nine years—in programs that are thematically reimagined and newly produced. Jeff Spurgeon hosts the programs.

The 13-concert series, hosted by KUSC’s Brian Lauritzen, features audio recordings from both seasons of the LA Phil’s online collection of concerts and conversations, Sound/Stage, as well as hand-picked selections of previously broadcast performances.

With the 104th season, which marks the 20th season of the ensemble's acclaimed partnership with Music Director Franz Welser-Möst, the Orchestra will welcome audiences back to Severance Hall as a more flexible, innovative, versatile, and empathetic institution, strengthened by the lessons of the past 14 months.
