Kenneth Lonergan has won the 2017 Academy Award for Best Screenplay for MANCHESTER BY THE SEA.

The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team of the world premiere of Nick Gandiello's touching and timely drama The Blameless, which was developed in a reading in the Globe's Powers New Voices Festival last year.Gaye Taylor Upchurch (The Last Match, Bethany) returns to the Globe to direct.

Feinstein's/54 Below, Broadway's Supper Club, will present The Last Song of Eddie Scourge, a new musical by Eli Bolin (Found, Skippyjon Jones) and Mike Pettry (The Light Princess, The Time Travelers Convention), on November 30th, 2016 at 9:30pm.

The OBIE Award-winning NAATCO, National Asian American Theater Company, concludes their 25th anniversary season with the New York Premiere of MJ Kaufman's Sagittarius Ponderosa. Ken Rus Schmoll directs an all-Asian American cast that includes Daniel K. Isaac (of TV's 'Billions'), Mia Katigbak, Glenn Kubota, Bex Kwan and Virginia Wing. This Off-Broadway limited engagement at 3LD (80 Greenwich Street at Rector) will continue through November 19th only.

On October 24, the Stage Directors and Choreographers Foundation (SDC Foundation) will celebrate the 27th Annual Joe A. Callaway Award winners for Direction and Choreography at the Laurie Beechman Theatre. The evening will be hosted by former Callaway Award-winning Jack O'Brien and Callaway Award finalist Joshua Bergasse.

Karen Pittman, best known for playing the role of Jory in the Tony-nominated play Disgraced and starring in the TV series 'The Americans,' and Richard Topol, known for numerous Broadway appearances, most recently with Larry David in Fish in the Dark, both star in Chautauqua Theater Company's (CTC) Signature Staged Reading of The Glow Overhead.

The Drama Book Shop is pleased to welcome India Kotis for a reading from her play THE TANGIBLES in its downstairs Arthur Seelen Theatre. The free event, which will take place on Monday, July 11th at 5:00pm, will be followed by a signing on the main floor of the shop.

San Francisco Playhouse has announced The Rules by Dipika Guha as the final world premiere show of the seventh season of the award-winning Sandbox Series. The play will be performed at The Creativity Theater in Yerba Buena Gardens.

Rivendell Theatre Ensemble (RTE), Chicago's only Equity theatre dedicated to producing new work with women at the core, announces the midwest premiere of Dry Land by Ruby Rae Spiegel. The production, directed by RTE member Hallie Gordon, runs April 22 - May 28, 2016, at Rivendell Theatre Ensemble, 5779 N. Ridge Avenue in Chicago. The press opening is Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 7:00pm.

 Irvington Town Hall Theater (ITHT) closes out a second season of their Stage Door Series, ( where new works are presented in a relaxed setting without sets, costumes, or props) with an afternoon of one-act plays. Three different one-acts by two diverse local playwrights will be read on Sunday, April 24 at 3:00pm. Two plays by Evelyn Mertens: Stray Gloves and Sleep Study and one by Stephanie Okun: Fishing. There will be a Q&A with the playwrights following the reading.

John Jay College of Criminal Justice has just announced it will honor Lin-Manuel Miranda, Tony- and Grammy Award-winning composer, lyricist, performer, and 2015 MacArthur Foundation Award recipient, as part of its Educating for Justice Gala on Monday, May 23, 2016.

The cast and designers have been set for The Blank Theatre's world premiere production of A SINGULAR THEY by Aliza Goldstein, directed by Christopher J. Raymond. Performances begin tonight, March 19 with opening night set for Saturday, March 26.
