Second Stage Theater, the preeminent home for American plays and living American playwrights, has announced that Kevin Brockman, Executive Vice President, Global Communications, Disney/ABC Television Group, has joined the company's Board of Directors.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company presents the world premiere production ofPass Over by Antoinette Nwandu, directed by Danya Taymor. A provocative and hilarious riff on Waiting for Godot, the complete cast features ensemble member Jon Michael Hill (Moses), Julian Parker (Kitch) and Ryan Hallahan (Mister). Pass Over runs June 1 - July 9, 2017 in the Upstairs Theatre, 1650 N Halsted St. Press performances are Saturday, June 10 at 3pm and Tuesday, June 13 at 7:30pm. Tickets ($20-$89) are available through Audience Services at 312-335-1650 or steppenwolf.org. HERE presents Dark Circus, by renowned French company STEREOPTIK, a presentation from HERE's Dream Music Puppetry Program. This innovative puppet theater work, for all ages, plays six performances May 30 - June 4 at HERE (145 Sixth Avenue, just below Spring Street).

The Brick Theater presents the world premiere of PLUTO (no longer a play), the latest from New York-based collective Superhero Clubhouse and the final installment of their Planet Plays series. PLUTO tackles the subject of mass extinction as three humans attempt to give a presentation about the remains of a play that no longer exists. The fragments seem to suggest the story of a unicorn, a hunter, and a wizard, all struggling to adapt to a rapidly changing world. Facing similar dilemmas, the three humans reenact their findings, searching for hope among the bones.
