Get the inside scoop!  Due to popular demand, The York Theatre Company, as part of its acclaimed Developmental Readings Series, will present the return one-night performance of Call My Publicist! - The Starry Education of a Broadway Press Agent, written and performed by Joshua Ellis and directed by Gretchen Cryer, on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at 7:30 p.m. at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (Entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).  The reading is open to the public with a suggested donation of $5.00.

There's a lot happening at off the WALL!  As of July of 2015, Hans and Virginia Wall Gruenert, co-founders of off the WALL Performing Arts Center, have donated the building at 25 W. Main St., Carnegie to the off the WALL Charitable Trust. The not-for-profit venue will be renamed Carnegie Stage, as their nod to a supportive community.  The anchor tenants will continue to be off the WALL Productions, whose main theater season is October to May, fireWALL dance theater with two new works annually and the Pittsburgh New Works Festival.

The 18th annual New York International Fringe Festival - FringeNYC presents The Screenwriter Dies Of His Own Free Will, a new metafictional comedy on the art of the deal by FringeNYC veteran Jim Shankman.

The New York Musical Theatre Festival (NYMF) in association with Bosc Publishing Company, Inc. presents The Calico Buffalo a new musical fable with book, music and lyrics by EJ Stapleton, and music and lyrics by Grammy Award-winning composer Peter Stopschinski. Craig J. George directs a cast of ten, including Jennifer Apple, Rachel Coloff*, Rhys Gilyeat*, Zachary Infante*, Stephen Mark, Anthea Neri*, Rachel Rhodes-Devey*, Brooke Shapiro*, Kevin Sims*, and Max Wilcox*. National Alliance for Musical Theatre has announced the line up of new musicals for their 27th ANNUAL FESTIVAL OF NEW MUSICALS, which takes place on Thursday, October 15 and Friday, October 16 at New World Stages (340 West 50th Street, between 8th and 9th Avenues). The Old Globe's presentation of Kiss Me, Kate, the classic musical comedy featuring a book by Sam and Bella Spewack and an iconic score by Cole Porter, begins tonight, July 1, on the Donald and Darlene Shiley Stage in the Old Globe Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center.

54 BELOW, Broadway's Supper Club, presents "The Fitzgeralds of St. Paul" -- A New Musical in Concert on Friday August 7, 2015 at 11:30 PM.  Part memory play, part gin-soaked vaudeville, "The Fitzgeralds of St. Paul" is a fictionalized, hyper-theatrical imagining of the lives and adventures of F. Scott Fitzgerald and his wife Zelda -- an evening in which two tragic, larger-than-life icons of a bygone era finally get to tell their story.
