The York Theatre Company presents a one-night only benefit concert celebrating up and coming musical theatre writers, with NEO 11 on Monday, June 15, 2015 The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue). Festivities begin at 7:30 p.m. followed by a champagne and dessert reception to toast the evening.
Enjoy Shakespeare under the stars at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey's Outdoor Stage production of Love's Labour's Lost. The York Theatre Company and its acclaimed Developmental Reading Series will present four new works during the month of June: Orville and Wilbur Did It! a play byDavid Zellnik with songs by Mr. Zellnik and Eric Svejcar; Juliet and Juliet, based on a concept by Natalie Tenenbaum and Sean Patterson, with book and lyrics by Mr. Patterson, and music by Ms. Tenenbaum; Elsie Janis and the Boys with book & lyrics by Carol Crittenden and music by John T. Using tweets from real life characters, 140 Characters moves this hashtag war out from behind the screen and brings it to life on stage.
