Just added to the line-up are all-female R&B group En Vogue and soul and R&B singer Lalah Hathaway. Also joining the line-up to perform Pharell's 'Happy' are sixty elementary-aged choir students from YOLA at HOLA and YOLA at LACHSA.

The Hollywood Bowl hosted its 15th Annual Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame concert last night, June 21. Emmy and Tony-winner Kristin Chenoweth was inducted by Carol Burnett, her life-long idol. As she made her entrance, Chenoweth paid homage to her by singing the theme song from The Carol Burnett Show. Later in the evening, Chenoweth was joined on stage by Lea Michele, with whom she co-starred with on the television series GLEE in 2009. Chenoweth and Michele sang WICKED's 'For Good' together.
The Hollywood Bowl hosted its 15th Annual Hollywood Bowl Hall of Fame concert last night, June 21, featuring Hall of Fame inductees Emmy and Tony-winner Kristin Chenoweth, iconic all-female band The Go-Go's, and the eclectic band Pink Martini. Presenters included Oscar and Emmy winner Helen Hunt, Grammy-nominated singer Natasha Bedingfield, Hollywood icon Barbara Eden, actress/comedienne Carol Burnett, and Oscar-nominated actress Taraji P. Henson, as well as a special guest appearance by Lea Michele.
Gustavo Dudamel will return to the New York Philharmonic to conduct Vivier's Orion and Bruckner's Symphony No. 9, Thursday, March 27, 2014, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, March 28 at 8:00 p.m.; and Saturday March 29 at 8:00 p.m. The program will be presented without intermission to support the connection between the two works.

The Los Angeles Philharmonic joins forces with the Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela in TchaikovskyFest - an exploration of Tchaikovsky, led by Gustavo Dudamel, including performances of the six symphonies and selected tone poems; and significant community and education events with Youth Orchestra LA (YOLA), including the TAKE A STAND symposium, which will examine best practices, lessons learned and future directions of music education. Evident during the monumental Mahler Project, presented during the 2011/12 season, the relationship between the LA Phil and the Simon Bolivar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela is a partnership that transcends limitation and truly epitomizes unity through music. TchaikovskyFest culminates in a joint performance of the two orchestras on March 2 at Walt Disney Concert Hall.

The Pasadena Symphony Association (PSA) has named Maestro Bruce Kiesling as the new music director of the Pasadena Young Musicians Orchestra (PYMO). The Association added PYMO to its successful youth orchestra programs earlier this year. The new administration provides PYMO with greater levels of staff support, artistic interaction with professional conductors and musicians, and enhanced community involvement, said Christine Witmer, PSA Manager of Education and Community Engagement.
