Rock and Roll Hall of Fame to Celebrate Lennon with Time Capsules, 10/9

Time capsules containing John Lennon's music will be stored at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame on October 9, contactmusic.com reports. The capsules are being created in honor of what would have been Lennon's seventieth birthday and will be opened in 2040 in honor of the hundredth anniversary of his birth.

McCartney Celebrates Starr's Birthday at Radio City Concert

Ringo Starr's All Starr Band performed at New York's Radio City Music Hall on July 7 on the occasion of Starr's seventieth birthday, contactmusic.com reports. Starr closed the concert with a singalong performance of 'With a Little Help From My Friends,' for which he was joined by former Beatles bandmate Paul McCartney.
