Lincoln Center Out of Doors (LCOOD) will present three weeks of FREE music and dance on the plazas of Lincoln Center from July 28 to August 15 in the 40th annual edition of the popular outdoor summer festival.
Ringo Starr's All Starr Band performed at New York's Radio City Music Hall on July 7 on the occasion of Starr's seventieth birthday, contactmusic.com reports. Starr closed the concert with a singalong performance of 'With a Little Help From My Friends,' for which he was joined by former Beatles bandmate Paul McCartney.

Under the direction of Ms. Christine Passarella students have been learning about different genres of music, but have been most impressed with the work of jazz saxophonist John Coltrane and a group was founded in his honor called the Kids for Coltrane. During Wednesday's event there will be many activities that the children are organizing to raise the profile of the legend. The public is welcome on June 9th at 6:00pm in the Holliswood School auditorium, located at 189-10 Radnor Road, Jamaica Estates, Queens.
