Magic Futurebox is proud to present the second in the Playwright Spotlight series of works by LARK PONY fellow Tommy Smith, the NYC premiere of DEMON DREAMS: a children's musical (for all audiences) featuring music by Paul D. Miller AKA DJ Spooky.

Museum participation began with a 1937 Japanese exhibition on Surrealism which included the work of Joan Miró. Since the 60's, Miró's work has been presented in a number of monographic exhibitions in Japan. Alberto Giacometti's first monographic exhibition in Tokyo took place at the Minami Gallery in 1958, and Giacometti in Asia recently toured Japan and Singapore from 2007-08.

FEINSTEIN'S AT LOEWS REGENCY, the nightclub proclaimed "Best of New York" by New York Magazine and "an invaluable New York institution" by The New York Post will continue its Spring 2011 season with the debut of pop music legend PETER ASHER and his multimedia show "A Musical Memoir of the 60s and Beyond" from May 3 through May 7.

We first came to know him through the global smash 'World Without Love' as one half of the British Invasion duo Peter & Gordon. He returns in 'Peter Asher: A Musical Memoir of the 60s and Beyond' which brings a multimedia experience to the stage, hosted by the two-time Grammy winner for Producer of the Year.

On Monday, April 4, 2011, National Dance Institute (NDI) a non-profit arts education organization that has transformed the lives of more than two million public school children since its founding by world-renowned dancer Jacques d'Amboise in 1976, will hold its annual gala.

Miller Theatre's sold-out Concert to Benefit Japan Earthquake Relief has raised over $34,000 in ticket sales, 100% of which will be contributed to the Japan Society's Earthquake Relief Fund.

More than a dozen innovative artists at the intersection of indie rock, contemporary jazz, and avant-garde performance will come together at Miller Theatre to present a benefit concert to support recovery efforts in Japan.

Celebrating its 25th anniversary this year, Charlie Haden Quartet West have confirmed a live concert engagement at New York City's famed jazz club, Birdland, slated for March 22nd through March 26th (two sets each night). The live gigs will feature surprise guests and also launch the release of their new and seventh recording, Sophisticated Ladies, available March 22 on Emarcy/Decca.

This DVD release debuts on the anniversary of John and Yoko Ono's highly publicized 'Bed-In' protesting the Vietnam War, and John and Yoko's actual wedding. Under the supervision of director Richard Lester the DVD has been fully remastered.

'Dance: Under the Influence,' a provocative program of dance works inspired by other art practices will debut in the intimate MAD Theater on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 and continue one Wednesday performance a month through May 18, 2011. The program is guest-curated by renowned arts writer, editor, and George Balanchine-biographer, Valerie Gladstone.
