BroadwayWorld recently announced the full cast for the national tour of IF/THEN, starring Tony Award-winner and Broadway superstar Idina Menzel (Wicked, Rent, Frozen, Glee), Tony Award-winner LaChanze (The Color Purple, Once on This Island), Anthony Rapp (Rent, Six Degrees of Separation, You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown) and James Snyder (Cry-Baby, Rock of Ages). Broadway Records announced that the Original Motion Picture Soundtrack of the movie musical, Life of an Actress, would be released on CD and digitally today, April 28th. SING FOR HOPE, an all-star concert to raise money for David's Dream & Believe Cancer Foundation, presented by the Foundation and Cara Samantha, is set for Sunday, October 5th 2014 from 2PM to 6PM at Toshi's Living Room at The Flat Iron Hotel, 1411 Broadway, New York, NY 10001 (at 26th Street). Performers from BROADWAY, AMERICAN IDOL and more will sing to support the cause.

This won't be any old traditional production of the musical "On The Town," opening at the Merry-Go-Round Playhouse as part of the Finger Lakes Musical Theatre Festival on Aug. 6 in Central New York.

California Musical Theatre released casting for the remaining shows in the 64th Music Circus season, a roster of actors including Broadway veterans, Tony nominees and audience favorites from previous Music Circus seasons, as well as actors with Sacramento-area ties. The five-show season at the Wells Fargo Pavilion includes the Music Circus premiere of the beloved Disney classic Mary Poppins, which runs through July 13, as well as other Tony Award-winning shows including Rodgers and Hammerstein's lush South Pacific, Lerner and Loewe's mystical Brigadoon, Jerry Herman and Harvey Fierstein's hilarious La Cage aux Folles, and the singular sensation A Chorus Line, which ended its week-long run on June 29. Music Circus casting for the season is determined after auditions are held in New York City, Los Angeles and Sacramento.
