Playhouse on Park begins its Comedy Series for the 2017-2018 Season Saturday, September 2. Tickets are now on sale for the show featuring co-headliners Lori Graves and Kevin Lee.

For the sixth consecutive year, singers from around the world will compete online for a coveted spot in the Sarah Vaughan International Jazz Vocal Competition, a 21st century version of the amateur night at the Apollo Theater that helped launch the career of a gifted teenager from Newark, Sarah 'Sassy' Vaughan, more than 70 years ago.

The world-renowned Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra (JLCO) is a 15-piece musical group consisting of some of the best ensemble players, soloists and arrangers in jazz music, and led by famed trumpeter and composer Wynton Marsalis. American Composers Orchestra (ACO) announces its complete 2017-2018 season, Dreamscapes, under the leadership of Artistic Director Derek Bermel, Music Director George Manahan, and President Edward Yim, featuring ten world, U.S., and New York premieres by a diverse set of composers. ACO continues its concerts at Carnegie Hall's Zankel Hall (December 8, 2017 and April 6, 2018) while expanding its presence in New York to include performances at Jazz at Lincoln Center (November 7, 2017) and as part of the 2018 PROTOTYPE Festival (January 12-14, 2018). ACO continues to take its commitment to fostering new work beyond the stage in its annual Underwood New Music Readings (June 21 and 22, 2018) for emerging composers, now in its 27th year, and through EarShot, the National Orchestra Composition Discovery Network, which brings the Readings experience to orchestras across the country.

Today, producers Ken Davenport and Hunter Arnold announced that Tony Award nominee Phillip Boykin, Alysha Deslorieux, Kenita R. Miller, and Isaac Powell are joining the new Broadway production of Once On This Island, which will play the Circle in the Square Theatre (235 W. 50th street, NYC) this fall.

Lincoln Center's Mostly Mozart Festival , one of New York's premier summer performance series, kicks off its 51st season on July 25. The application deadline is Tuesday, August 15th, and is now available on bmi.com.
