The Tisch School of the Arts announced today that Golden Globe® Award Winner, James Franco, will join its annual gala, honoring Billy Crystal, Class of 1970.

TeenNick, Nickelodeon's 24-hour TV network exclusively for and about teens and tweens, will partner with mega-stars Mariah Carey, Ashton Kutcher, Rosario Dawson and Wyclef Jean to recognize four deserving teens who are philanthropic leaders in their communities in the second annual TeenNick HALO Awards. Conceived, hosted and executive produced by TeenNick Chairman Nick Cannon, the hour-long special that honors real-life teens who are 'Helping And Leading Others' (HALO) will premiere Friday, Dec. 10, at 8:00 p.m. (ET) on TeenNick, followed by an encore on Nick at Nite at 9:00 p.m. (ET/PT). TeenNick partnered with the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF) to provide the grants and scholarships awarded to each HALO honoree.

Ravinia Festival's 2010 season opens offering up great variety and more than 50 artist debuts beginning on opening night at 8 p.m. on Thursday, June 3, with pianist Nobuyuki Tsujii in the Martin Theatre. Blind since birth and a 2009 Van Cliburn International Piano Competition gold-medal winner, 22-year-old Tsujii will present works by Chopin, Schuman and Lizst as well as Mussorgsky's Pictures at an Exhibition, Ravinia's 2010 One Score, One Chicago selection. Inspired by the Chicago Public Library's One Book, One Chicago, Ravinia's One Score promotes the enjoyment of classical music and creates a cultural touchstone to enable people at different levels of understanding classical music to engage in community-wide discussion of a single masterwork.

Latin music's biggest stars glittered this evening at the Coliseo de Puerto Rico Jose Miguel Agrelot in San Juan, where the glamour of this year's finalists, the excitement of each performance, and the emotion preceding each award thrilled television viewers worldwide. As part of its continuing mission to bring the arts into the communities of New York City, and to celebrate New York's rich ethnic and cultural diversity, the Young Patrons of Lincoln Center (YPLC) are hosting a dance party on Thursday, April 29 from 8:30 to 10:00 pm (Doors open at 7:30) at the Bronx Museum of the Arts, 1040 Grand Concourse. The Bronx's own DJ D-Nice will spin a special set for the event.
