The 2016 season for the Dead Writers Theatre Collective at the Athenaeum Theatre will include "The Importance of Being Earnest" directed by Jim Schneider on July 1-July 31, "Oh, Coward" directed by Charlie Marie McGrath on August 26--September 18, and "The Heiress" directed by Jim Schneider on August 29-October 23.
Amy Uhl's most recent show was the new Broadway musical Amazing Grace, now playing at New York City's Nederlander Theatre. A member of the directing team for that production's Broadway in Chicago and Broadway companies, Uhl now returns to Evanston's Savoyaires - where in 2010 she choreographed The Gondoliers -- to direct Gilbert & Sullivan's ever-popular H.M.S. Pinafore.
The acclaimed stage company, The Theater Project, will again bring script in hand performances to Union Township's Special Improvement District, presenting two short comedies from their Playwrights Workshop for NJ authors. The event will be hosted at Cioffi's Italian Ristorante on April 27 thanks to the support of the Special Improvement District, and a Union County HEART grant from the Board of Chosen Freeholders. While enjoying the performance at Cioffi's, theater-goers will also see Union's growing downtown.

Helen Hayes Award winner Robert O'Hara (Bootcandy, director of The Mountaintop at Arena Stage) returns to Arena Stage to direct an explosive, reimagined tribute to the 'King of the Jukebox'-legendary composer and saxophonist Louis Jordan. This modernized production features new orchestrations for classic songs, including 'Let the Good Times Roll' and 'Is You Is or Is You Ain't My Baby,' and a contemporary twist on the five Moes, now a hit boy band set in 2014. This dynamic musical revue features musical direction by Darryl G. Ivey (assistant music director for original Broadway production of Five Guys Named Moe) and choreography by Byron Easley (off-Broadway's Langston in Harlem). A co-production with Cleveland Play House, Five Guys Named Moe runs November 14-December 28, 2014 in the Kreeger Theater.

The Pulitzer Prize and OBIE Award-winning Theatre for the New City (TNC) will hold its 10th Annual LOVE ‘N' COURAGE benefit gala on Monday, February 25, 2013 at the National Arts Club (15 Gramercy Park South in Manhattan), this year honoring award-winning actor and playwright Charles Busch, it has been announced by Crystal Field, co-founder and artistic director of Theater for the New City. The LOVE ‘N' COURAGE celebration will begin with cocktails at 6:30pm, with dinner following at 7:00pm, and performances at 8:00pm.
