Denver Center Attractions The Bobby G Awards, a regional high school musical theatre awards program, joins The National High School Musical Theater Awards (NHSMTA) as a participating program for 2013. Due to this exciting announcement, the deadline for public and private high schools in the seven county Denver metro to apply has been extended to February 8. Producers Bob Boyett and The National Theatre of Great Britain have announced full casting for the upcoming Denver engagement of the 2011 Tony Award-winning Best Play, War Horse. The company, comprised of more than 30 performers, includes Andrew Veenstra as Albert Narracott, Brian Keane as Arthur Narracott, Michael Wyatt Cox as Billy Narracott, Todd Cerveris as Ted Narracott, Colorado native Angela Reed as Rose Narracott, Jason Loughlin as Lieutenant James Nicholls, Jason Alan Carvell as Private Schnabel and Colorado native Mat Hostetler as Veterinary Officer Martin. War Horse plays the Buell Theatre tonight, January 8-20.

Teatro Vista kicks off its 2012-13 season with the world premiere of i put the fear of mexico in 'em, a humorous, bold work by Matthew Paul Olmos about an American couple vacationing in Tijuana who stumble off the beaten path and are accosted by a Mexican couple in an alley. i put the fear of mexico in 'em runs now through December 9, 2012 at Chicago Dramatists, 1105 W. This fall, the New York International Fringe Festival hit Unspeakable - described as 'a dramatic fantasia inspired by the life of comedic icon Richard Pryor' - will come to Chicago on the Royal George Theatre Main Stage, 1641 N. Halsted, in a limited eight-week engagement beginning tonight, October 2, 2012. The official opening night performance is Monday, October 8, at 7:30 p.m.

The MainStreet Theatre Company has announced that it has received three LA Stage Alliance Ovation Award Nominations for its work during the 2011/2012 Season, including a "Best Production" nomination for their May production of A Wrinkle in Time.
