'HOW TO BE A GOOD ITALIAN DAUGHTER (In Spite of Myself),' a play written and performed by Antoinette Lavecchia, will be presented this fall Off-Broadway at the Cherry Lane Theatre's Studio Theatre (38 Commerce St.), with official opening night set for Monday, October 12, 2009 - Columbus Day, a day of celebration for Italian-Americans.

The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey has announced final casting for Hamlet, which begins the Fall portion of its Fantastic Voyages season.

Bonnie J. Monte, artistic director of The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey, has announced additional casting for William Shakespeare's Hamlet, which Ms. Monte will direct. Hamlet will begin performances on September 9 and continue through October 11 on the Shakespeare Theatre Main Stage - The F. M. Kirby Shakespeare Theatre, 36 Madison Avenue at Lancaster Road in Madison.

PICT brings John Patrick Shanley's searing drama Doubt, winner of the 2005 Tony Award and Pulitzer Prize, to the intimate Henry Heymann Theatre. The production is directed by Jeffrey M. Cordell, and features Pittsburgh favorites David Whalen as Father Flynn and Kate Young as Sister Aloysius, with Meghan Heimbecker as Sister James and Maria Becoates-Bey as Mrs. Muller.

Woolly Mammoth Theatre Company closes its 29th Season, 2008-09, with the World Premiere of Fever/Dream by Sheila Callaghan, author of Crumble (Lay Me Down, Justin Timberlake) and the recent Off-Broadway hit That Pretty Pretty; or The Rape Play.
