The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for the West Coast premiere of Laura Marks's powerful new play Bethany. Directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch, Bethany will run today, Jan. 25 - Feb. 23, 2014 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Theatre Horizon continues its season with the Philadelphia area premiere of Annie Baker's Circle Mirror Transformation. This Obie Award winning play runs February 20-March 16. The Theatre School at DePaul University will present MOTH as the second production in the Sondra & Denis Healy Theatre at The Theatre School building, located at Racine and Fullerton on the Lincoln Park Campus. The Healy Theatre is a 100-seat flexible theatre, located on the fourth floor of The Theatre School. Its distinguishing feature is the completely transparent north wall overlooking Fullerton Avenue. Declan Greene's MOTH is directed by Michael Osinksi, MFA Directing candidate, Class of 2014. The production premieres on Friday, February 14, and runs through Sunday, February 23, 2014. Performances are Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2 PM. Previews are on February 12 and 13, at 7:30 PM.

Red Bull Theater presents the Off Broadway revival of Loot by Joe Orton. Red Bull Artistic Director Jesse Berger directs a company that includes Rebecca Brooksher (Fay), Eric Martin Brown (Meadows), Jarlath Conroy (McLeavy), Ryan Garbayo (Dennis), Rocco Sisto (Truscott), and Nick Westrate (Hal). Loot has scenic design by Narelle Sissons, costume design by Sara Jean Tosetti, lighting design by Scott Zielinski, and sound design by Brad Berridge. Opening Thursday January 16th, this limited engagement continues through February 9th only at Lucille Lortel Theater (121 Christopher Street).

Labyrinth Theater Company, the award-winning, downtown ensemble, announced today the New York Premiere of The Muscles in Our Toes by Labyrinth Company Member Stephen Belber, and directed by Anne Kauffman. The play will be produced in late Spring 2014 at Labyrinth's home in New York City's West Village, the Bank Street Theater (155 Bank Street).

Arden Theatre Company opens its 16th Season of Children's Theatre with Sideways Stories from Wayside School. Based on the beloved book series by Louis Sachar, this adaptation by John Olive will be directed by Whit MacLaughlin. The production runs from December 4, 2013 through February 15, 2014 and includes weekday matinee performances for students and weekend performances for families. Asolo Repertory Theatre is proud to add I LOVED, I LOST, I MADE SPAGHETTI to its 2013-2014 season. Jacques Lamarre's saucy stage adaptation of Giulia Melucci's memoir will star Antoinette LaVecchia as Melucci, an Italian-American writer living in Brooklyn with an entertainingly unsuccessful love life. Previews for the show will be held May 18 and May 20, 2014 and the show will run from May 21 through June 15, 2014 in Asolo Rep's Cook Theatre.

Last night, Theatre Philadelphia celebrated the past year in theatre across the region by presenting the Lifetime Achievement Award, cash awards totaling $56,500, and a masquerade after-party that featured performances of some of the highlights of the previous theatre season. Over 400 theatre artists, administrators and supporters attended the sold out ceremony and party held at Arden Theatre Company in Old City. As the new Barrymore Awards system gets underway for the 2013/14 season, Theatre Philadelphia is thrilled to announce its 2013 Theatre Celebration will be held the evening of Today, November 4 at Arden Theatre Company. Four Barrymore Awards will be presented at this year's ceremony: the Lifetime Achievement Award, the F. Otto Haas Award for an Emerging Theatre Artist, the Brown Martin Philadelphia Award, and the brand new Steve and June Wolfson Award for an Evolving Theatre.

Philadelphia's all comedy theatre company is pleased to present its newest original production, The Big Time: New Vaudeville for the Holidays. The Big Time: New Vaudeville for the Holidays continues 1812's tradition of creating new work based in classic comedy styles, celebrating an era or area of comedic history. Past productions include Always a Lady (women in comedy), Double Down (classic double acts), Our Show of Shows (original and classic material celebrating Sid Caesar's Your Show of Shows), and the audience favorite This Is The Week That Is (political satire). Created and directed by Jennifer Childs, The Big Time reunites Ms. Childs with Scott Greer, Dave Jadico and Tony Braithwaite, the creative team that originated 1812 Productions' first such production, also called The Big Time (2000)-a revue of classic vaudeville routines-and welcomes 1812 favorite Greg Nix to the process.

Casting was recently announced for the first public reading of NOTHING BUT TRASH, a satire of 1950's teen-angst films and gay pulp fiction, produced by Theater For The New City (Crystal Field, Executive Director), written by and starring Andy Halliday(of Charles Busch's Theatre-In-Limbo), with direction by G.R. Johnson (Bounce and Thunder, Seven11.2005). The reading, which is free and open to the public, takes place today, October 28th at 7:30pm in midtown Manhattan.

Theatre Exile opens their 2013/14 season with the Philadelphia premiere of Cock, the Laurence Olivier Award-winning play by British playwright Mike Bartlett. Directed by Exile's Producing Artistic Director Deborah Block and starring Wes Haskell with John Jarboe, Mary Tuomanen and Benjamin Lovell, Cock runs tonight, October 17 - November 10. The play unfolds on an intimate, bare bones stage that removes the boundaries between actors and audience at Studio X in South Philadelphia.
