Rattlestick's THE FEW Begins Performances Tonight

Rattlestick Playwrights Theater Artistic Director David Van Asselt and Managing Director Brian Long have announced that performances of the New York premiere of The Few, written by Samuel D. Hunter and directed by Davis McCallum, begin tonight at 7pm at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, 224 Waverly Place. The official opening night is set for Thursday, May 8 at 7pm; The Few is scheduled to run through Sunday, June 8.

Soho Rep Presents Branden Jacobs-Jenkins's AN OCTOROON, Now thru 5/18

Soho Rep presents the world premiere of Branden Jacobs-Jenkins's An Octoroon, directed by Soho Rep. Artistic Director Sarah Benson. The production, tonight, April 23, through May 18, concludes a banner New York season for the celebrated playwright, whose Appropriate made its New York premiere February 25-April 6 at Signature Theatre.

Yale Rep Stages World Premiere of THE HOUSE THAT WILL NOT STAND, Now thru 5/10

Yale Repertory Theatre, in a co-production with Berkeley Repertory Theatre, presents the world premiere of The House that will not Stand by Marcus Gardley, directed by Patricia McGregor. The House that will not Stand will be performed at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street) today, April 18-May 10. Opening Night is Thursday, April 24.

Pulitzer Prize winning playwright Paula Vogel joined together with the Wilma Theater and a team of actors and directors over the course of two years to develop the world premiere production of Don Juan Comes Home from Iraq. Based on the 1936 work Don Juan Returns from the War by Ödon von Horvath, this piece transpired directly from interviews and playwriting workshops with veterans. With a cast in place when just a few pages of the script existed, this work was created in a truly collaborative setting, a very unique happening in today's theatre.

Theatre School at DePaul University Presents MOTH, Begin. Tonight

The Theatre School at DePaul University will present MOTH as the second production in the Sondra & Denis Healy Theatre at The Theatre School building, located at Racine and Fullerton on the Lincoln Park Campus. The Healy Theatre is a 100-seat flexible theatre, located on the fourth floor of The Theatre School. Its distinguishing feature is the completely transparent north wall overlooking Fullerton Avenue. Declan Greene's MOTH is directed by Michael Osinksi, MFA Directing candidate, Class of 2014. The production premieres on Friday, February 14, and runs through Sunday, February 23, 2014. Performances are Wednesdays through Saturdays at 7:30 PM and Sundays at 2 PM. Previews are tonight, February 12 and 13, at 7:30 PM.
