Long Wharf Theatre, in association with Hartford Stage, presents The Underpants by Steve Martin, adapted from the play by Carl Sternheim, directed by Artistic Director Gordon Edelstein.

Casting has been announced for the first public reading of NOTHING BUT TRASH, a satire of 1950's teen-angst films and gay pulp fiction, produced by Theater For The New City (Crystal Field, Executive Director), written by and starring Andy Halliday(of Charles Busch's Theatre-In-Limbo), with direction by G.R. Johnson (Bounce and Thunder, Seven11.2005). The reading, which is free and open to the public, will take place on Monday, October 28th at 7:30pm in midtown Manhattan.

Bristol Riverside Theatre continues its season with Jon Jory's adaptation of Pride & Prejudice in celebration of the 200th anniversary of Jane Austen's beloved novel. Running October 29-November 24, the production, directed by BRT's Artistic Director Keith Baker, features the ensemble cast ofJessica Bedford, Grant Chapman, Rose Fairley, Michael Gamache, Jessica Gruver, Michael Halling, Hannah Kahn, Samantha Kuhl, Mark LeVasseur, Robert Ian Mackenzie, Topher Mikels, Erin Mulgrew, Mary Elizabeth Scallen, and Jo Twiss.

London's 'Summer of Love' comes to Center City in the Philly Fringe with the Philadelphia premiere of 'Traveling Light' by Philadelphia playwright Lindsay Harris Friel. The play is directed by Liam Castellan and produced by Liam's Sofa Cushion Fortress in The Skybox at The Adrienne Theater, tonight, September 6-14, 2013.

Theatre Exile opens their 2013/14 season with the Philadelphia premiere of Cock, the Laurence Olivier Award-winning play by British playwright Mike Bartlett. Directed by Exile's Producing Artistic Director Deborah Block and starring Wes Haskell with John Jarboe, Mary Tuomanen and Benjamin Lovell, Cock runs October 17 - November 10. The play unfolds on an intimate, bare bones stage that removes the boundaries between actors and audience at Studio X in South Philadelphia.

Taking place today, September 5-22, the 2013 Fringe Festival presented by FringeArts (formerly known as the Philadelphia Live Arts Festival and Philly Fringe) is bigger and better than ever in its 17th year, with a brand-new headquarters on the Delaware River Waterfront and 18 days of both presented and neighborhood performances in cutting-Edge Theater, dance, music, visual and multidisciplinary arts. As the new Barrymore Awards system gets underway for the 2013/14 season, Theatre Philadelphia is thrilled to announce its 2013 Theatre Celebration will be held the evening of Monday, November 4 at Arden Theatre Company. Four Barrymore Awards will be presented at this year's ceremony: the Lifetime Achievement Award, the F. Otto Haas Award for an Emerging Theatre Artist, the Brown Martin Philadelphia Award, and the brand new Steve and June Wolfson Award for an Evolving Theatre.
