Legend states that events come in threes -- a phenomenon in its truest form for The Philip K. Dick Science Fiction Film Festival as it embarks on a third year honoring the literary world's most nuanced and visionary author, Philip K. Dick. The highly anticipated four-day experience from this weekend, January 15-18, 2015 will screen at three distinguished locations including The Cervantes Institute, Tribeca Cinemas and The Producer's Club and features a slate of innovative features and shorts which capture the distinctive boldness of the the genre and brings forth the most riveting moments of science fiction cinema ever to grace the big screen.

The Palace Theatre welcomes The Producers, a musical adaptation of Mel Brooks' 1968 film 'The Producers,' tonight, March 21st at 7:30pm. This show is the winner of a record breaking 12 Tony Awards. Fading producer Max Bialystock, convinces accountant Leo Bloom to partner with him in producing a show for Hilter. The Producers is a show about scoundrels with ill intentions that turn into raging success! The humor of the show stems from ridiculous accents and many show business jokes.

Theatre Under The Stars (TUTS) presents the new holiday classic, Elf The Musical, running tomorrow, Dec. 6 - 22 at Hobby Center's Sarofim Hall. Making his TUTS debut as the loveable 'elf' Buddy is Tommy J. Dose. He played Alfred Doolittle in the national tour of My Fair Lady and has circulated the regional theatre scene with companies including the Fulton Theatre, the Lancaster Symphony Orchestra, and the Cumberland County Playhouse. ELF, a holiday themed musical, first opened on Broadway in 2010. With the 2003 motion picture of the same title starring Will Ferrell as source material, theatergoers all over were interested in the sugarcoated musical. Negative reviews lead to a re-tooling of the show, and it returned to Broadway in 2012 in addition to having a mini tour of the US. Now, in 2013, Theatre Under the Stars (TUTS) is bringing the confection to Houston audiences with a locally produced production of the saccharine holiday confection that is rather donuts for dinner.

Michael Martinez is proud to announce An Evening of Music and Comedy XI at Don't Tell Mama on October 8, 2013. This showcase and variety show will feature singers Gabriella Marie Antonino, William Hartery ( Disney's Villains Tonight), Natasha Repass, Michelle Ricciardi and Katherine Robinson (Disney's Villains Tonight, Sesame Street Live! ). Producer Michael Martinez has previously presented showcases at Birdland, Don't Tell Mama and T. Schreiber Studio in New York City. These showcases feature emerging stars of comedy, music, and theatre. Michael has also promoted concerts and productions in venues across the country including B.B.
