The Hollywood Foreign Press Association Donates $3.25 Million At Annual Grants Banquet

The Hollywood Foreign Press Association (HFPA) presented $3.25 million at their annual Grants Banquet held at The Beverly Hilton in Beverly Hills, Calif. The evening was hosted by William H. Macy. Talent who accepted grants on behalf of nonprofit organizations included Alfonso Cuaron, Alfre Woodard, Amber Heard, Ben Hardy, Billy Porter, Charlize Theron, Chris Messina, Christian Slater, Cody Fern, Connie Britton, Cynthia Erivo, Dakota Fanning, Dawn-Lyen Gardner, Jason Bateman, Jason Reitman, Jennifer Garner, Joey King, John Cho, John David Washington, Lena Waithe, MJ Rodriguez, Nia Long, Rami Malek, Regina King, and Steve Carell.

Season Nine of SHAMELESS Gets 14-Episode Order from SHOWTIME

SHOWTIME has announced that the ninth season of its hit comedy series SHAMELESS will expand to a 14-episode order, and will air in two parts – this fall and in winter 2019. The first seven episodes will begin airing on Sunday, September 9 at 9 p.m. ET/PT, with a midseason finale on Sunday, October 21 at 9 p.m. ET/PT. The second half of season nine will premiere on Sunday, January 20, 2019 at 9 p.m. ET/PT.

Showtime Celebrates Summer With Introductory Price Offer Of $4.99/Month For Streaming Service

The Actors' Gang Announces 2018 Free Shakespeare In The Park

The Actors' Gang will begin performances for the 2018 Free Shakespeare in the Park for Families production of Much Ado About Avengers beginning Saturday, August 4th, continuing a 12-year tradition of free theater in Media Park. Based on William Shakespeare's "Much Ado About Nothing" and inspired by the characters of Marvel's The Avengers, this 45 minute, all?ages production will run every Saturday and Sunday of August at 11am, through August 26th.

Showtime Honored With 21 Emmy Nominations

Today, SHOWTIME was recognized with 21 Primetime Emmy Award nominations,including the network's first limited series nomination for PATRICK MELROSE, THE FOURTH ESTATE for Outstanding Documentary or Nonfiction Series and four actor nominations for PATRICK MELROSE's Benedict Cumberbatch,SHAMELESS' William H. Macy, and HOMELAND's Mandy Patinkin and F. Murray Abraham. SHOWTIME was also honored in the writing and directing categories for TWIN PEAKS and PATRICK MELROSE. Overall, SHOWTIME received nine nominations for TWIN PEAKS, five for PATRICK MELROSE, three for HOMELAND and two for SHAMELESS.
