Beth Behrs, the star of CBS's 2 BROKE GIRLS, leads the cast of the world premiere of Halley Feiffer's comedy A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Gynecologic Oncology Unit at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center of New York City at MCC Theater. Behrs is joined by Obie winner Lisa Emery, most recently seen on the hit Netflix drama JESSICA JONES, as well as stage veteran Jacqueline Sydney and Erik Lochtefeld. Following The New Group's BURIED CHILD live stream this past Wednesday, BroadwayHD will present Signature Theatre's special return engagement of OLD HATS, created and performed by Bill Irwin and David Shiner, with music and lyrics by and featuring Shaina Taub, and directed by Tina Landau, this Saturday, April 2, at 8:00 PM EDT. 

MCC Theater broke ground today on its first permanent home, which will unite the company's diverse roster of programs under one roof for the first time in its three-decade history. MCC Artistic Directors Robert LuPone, Bernard Telsey, and William Cantler were joined by Executive Director Blake West, members of the Board of Directors, New York City's Department of Cultural Affairs Commissioner Tom Finkelpearl, and members of the Theater's extended community of theater artists. MCC Theater announced today that it will break ground on its first permanent home on March 22, 2016. Set to open in 2018, the space will unite MCC's diverse roster of programs under one roof for the first time in the company's three-decade history. The new facility will also allow MCC to expand its programming and establish it as a cultural anchor within the Clinton neighborhood. One of New York's leading nonprofit Off-Broadway companies, the institution fosters the dynamic exchange of ideas between artists, audiences, and young people through its productions of world, American, and New York premiere plays and musicals, a robust playwright development initiative, and one of the nation's leading arts education programs.

MCC THEATER presents Noah Haidle's Smokefall, playing through Sunday, March 20th. It was previously scheduled through March 13th.  Smokefall by Noah Haidle, directed by Anne Kauffman, stars Emmy nominated star of stage and screen Zachary Quinto, indie film icon and television star Robin Tunney, and NYC theater veterans Tom Bloom, Brian Hutchison, and Taylor Richardson. The Casting Society of America (CSA) has named its winners for the 31st Annual Artios Awards, which took place tonight in both Los Angeles at the Beverly Hilton and in New York City at The Hard Rock Cafe.

The Jonathan Larson Grant recipient is excited to be a part of the 2013 hit's return engagement.

"This is a young person's form," Bill Irwin insisted when Signature's James Houghton insisted he and Shiner create a new show together.
