Nicola and Managing Director William Russo, and The Acting Company Producing Artistic Director Margot Harley have announced that there will be a free panel discussion following the matinee performance of The Heart Is a Lonely Hunter on Saturday, November 21.

The McCarter Theater Center has announced that they will premiere a new play by Will Power (Flow, The Seven), Fetch Clay, Make Man, about boxing legend Muhammad Ali. The production, starring Ben Vereen and Evan Parke, will be directed by Jersey Boys helmer Des McAnuff and run from Janaury 8 - February 14, 2010.

Acclaimed solo performer Thaddeus Phillips will premiere his new show MICROWORLD(S) at the Buntport Theatre in Denver. the show will run through November 8th. MICROWORLD(S) will power the entire set using devices called 'wezas,' portable foot pumps that can be used to generate power. Audiences are given the opportunity to help power the show by pumping the wezas several times before the show to help generate the power needed.

The theatre will feature performances of JULIUS CAESAR and A BACCHUS AFFAIR, as well as A Roman Holiday Wine Dinner and a Fall Festival on October 31st. To mark two decades at the creative helm of McCarter Theatre Center, Artistic Director Emily Mann has announced the 2009-2010 Theater Season, which will include the revival of an audience favorite, an eighteenth-century comic masterpiece, a knockout world premiere drama, a contemporary American classic, and a soaring new musical.

Shakespeare comes in a variety of flavors at the Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival this summer, including a new production: Shakespeare for Kids. Children ages 4 to 12 can experience Shakespeare at their level and help Team Shakespeare tell the story of A Midsummer Night's Dream.

Georgia Shakespeare continues its popular Family Classics Series with a world-premiere adaptation of Lewis Carroll's classic story Alice in Wonderland July 18 - August 1. Performances take place Tuesday through Saturday at 10:00 a.m. with additional shows on Tuesday July 21 and 28 at 7:00 p.m. at the Conant Performing Arts Center (4484 Peachtree Rd. Atlanta, 30319 at Oglethorpe University).

YALE REPERTORY THEATRE (James Bundy, Artistic Director; Victoria Nolan, Managing Director) will present the world premiere of POP!, a new musical with book and lyrics by Maggie-Kate Coleman and music by Anna K. Jacobs, directed by Mark Brokaw, at Yale Repertory Theatre (1120 Chapel Street), November 27-December 19, 2009. Opening Night is December 3.

Chicago is officially one theater company richer after The Ruckus Theater recently karate-chopped and high-fived its way into the Central Time Zone. Made up of an industrious group of Michigan ex-pats, The Ruckus is composed of actors, directors, playwrights, musicians, casting directors, publicity managers, grant writers, baristas, grad students, poets, computer fixers, appointment-makers and census-takers who aim to create a new kind of company-a casteless theater that blends the lines between playwright and actor, audience and company member.
