BWW Interviews: Ben Vereen on Broadway at Town Hall - Back with a Bowl of Cherries

Ben Vereen is back. And he's brought his bowl of cherries. On February 18, 2011, the legendary song and dance man will perform his concert, Stepping Out With Ben Vereen, at Town Hall in celebration of the release of his corresponding album. In the concert, recorded live during its recent Hartford engagement, Vereen highlights his stage career and delivers American Standards with his signature 'razzle dazzle' as only he can.

Kevin Anderson and Catherine Dent, et. al, Join THE BREAK OF NOON at Geffen, 1/25

Broadway veteran Kevin Anderson leads the cast in the Los Angeles run of world premiere production of Neil LaBute's The Break of Noon. The Break of Noon, which is a co-production with MCC in New York, will feature Catherine Dent as well as Tracee Chimo and John Earl Jelks, who performed their roles in the New York portion of the run. Helmed by director Jo Bonney, The Break of Noon begins in previews on January 25, 2011 and officially opens February 2, 2011.

Block, Olivo et al. Lead BY THE WAY, MEET VERA STARK at 2nd Stage This Season

Second Stage Theatre (Carole Rothman, Artistic Director) has announced that STEPHANIE J. BLOCK, DANIEL BREAKER, KIMBERLY HÉBERT GREGORY, KEVIN ISOLA and KAREN OLIVO will star in the world premiere comedy, BY THE WAY, MEET VERA STARK, the new play by Lynn Nottage, directed by Jo Bonney. BY THE WAY, MEET VERA STARK is Ms. Nottage's first play to be produced in New York since she won the Pulitzer Prize for Ruined in 2009.

Meadows Prize Winner Will Power Comes to DTC

Dallas Theater Center is pleased to announce that 2010 Meadows Prize recipient Will Power will serve two periods of residency with Dallas Theater Center in 2011 to develop an original work for Dallas to be premiered at DTC. Artists receiving the Meadows Prize work closely with a partnering arts organization and students at Southern Methodist University.
