THE PEARL THEATRE COMPANY (J.R. Sullivan, Artistic Director; Shira Beckerman, Managing Director) announced today that director Hal Brooks will helm the absurdist tour de force, THE BALD SOPRANO.

Vineyard Theatre and Naked Angels will co-produce the world-premiere of Zayd Dohrn's play OUTSIDE PEOPLE, directed by Evan Cabnet at The Vineyard (108 East 15th Street), which will begin performances in December, 2011 and open in January 2012, it has been announced by Douglas Aibel, Artistic Director of Vineyard Theatre and Andy Donald, Artistic Director of Naked Angels. It is the first co-production for the two award-winning off-Broadway companies.

The Drama Desk and Obie Award-winning Ma-Yi Theater Company - one of the country's leading Asian-American theater companies - will present the World Premiere of Carla Ching's THE SUGAR HOUSE AT THE EDGE OF THE WILDERNESS and the Off-Broadway premiere of Qui Nguyen's critically acclaimed play THE INEXPLICABLE REDEMPTION OF AGENT G during its 2011-2012 theatre season, it has been announced by Ma-Yi Artistic Director Ralph B.
