The Donmar Warehouse releases first look rehearsal images of Sweat, written by Lynn Nottage and directed by Lynette Linton, which opens on Wednesday 19 December (with previews from Friday 7 December).

Joining the hard-hitting sales team in Sam Yates' unmissable production of David Mamet's darkly funny classic, Glengarry Glen Ross are: Denis Conway (The Lieutenant of Inishmore) as Dave Moss; Wil Johnson (Rosencrantz & Guildenstern Are Dead) as George Aaronow; Scott Sparrow (King Lear) as John Williamson; James Staddon (Goodnight Mister Tom) as James Lingk; and Zephryn Taitte (The Jungle Book) as Baylen. They join the previously announced Mark Benton (Shelly 'The Machine' Levene) and Nigel Harman (Ricky Roma).

Half a century after its premiere on The Old Vic stage, Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead, the play that made a young Tom Stoppard's name overnight, returns to The Old Vic in its 50th anniversary celebratory production. BroadwayWorld has a sneak peek at the company in rehearsal below!

Further casting is today announced for Rosencrantz & Guildenstern are Dead which previews from Saturday 25 February with a press night on Tuesday 7 March.

Starz, in association with Sony Pictures Television, has announced today that two key roles have been cast in Season 3. Joining Jamie's (Sam Heughan) world in the 18th century, John Bell (“The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies”) will play the role of “Young Ian.”

An epic new version of Shakespeare's King Lear plays at Birmingham Repertory Theatre from 19 to 28 May, commemorating 400 years since the playwright's death. A co-production between Manchester Royal Exchange Theatre and Talawa Theatre Company, and in association with The REP, King Lear is a brutal portrait of a man unravelling - pitted against his daughters, against nature and against the universe itself.

The Tricycle Theatre has confirmed the complete cast for A Wolf In Snakeskin Shoes, which runs from October 8. 

Theatre503 and the Liverpool Everyman and Playhouse presents the world première of The Swallowing Dark, a new play by Lizzie Nunnery. Directed by Theatre503's joint-Artistic Director, Paul Robinson, it stars Wil Johnson (Waking The Dead and Adulthood) and Allyson Ava-Brown (Secret Diary of a Call Girl). It will run at Theatre503 in London from 1 to 26 November, after its premiere at Liverpool's Playhouse Studio from 20 to 29 October.
