TVGuide reports that Maulik Pancholy will not be returning to the NBC comedy WHITNEY for its sophomore season. Instead, the actor will reprise his role as Jack Donaghy's (Alec Baldwin) assistant Jonathan on the network's long-running series 30 ROCK.

TBS has acquired the off-network rights to 2 Broke Girls, the breakout hit comedy created by Emmy(R) winner/executive producer Michael Patrick King (Sex and the City) and white-hot comedian Whitney Cummings (Whitney). Television's #1 new series of the 2011-12 season with adults 18-49 and the #1 new comedy among total viewers, 2 Broke Girls is distributed by Warner Bros. Domestic Television and is set to join the TBS lineup in 2015.
Wil Calhoun Named Showrunner of NBC's WHITNEY

Deadline.com reports that Wil Calhoun has been tapped to become the new showrunner for NBC's comedy series WHITNEY. He will also serve as executive producer of the show which is headed into its sophomore season.
