According to EWonline, comedian Sarah Silverman's project for the NBC network has just been given an order for a pilot.

The sitcom is currently untitled, however it will star the comedian playing herself, a woman who has just come out of a long term relationship.

It was announced last August that Silverman had sold the project to the network. NBC appears to be focusing on female-driven comedies of late.  Currently, it has taken on comedians Whitney Cummings and Chelsea Handler into its programming schedule.  WHITNEY is a hilarious look at modern day love, which centers around Whitney (Whitney Cummings, “Chelsea Lately”) and Alex (Chris D’Elia, “Glory Daze”), a happily unmarried couple. Together for three years, the duo is in no rush to get hitched, which seems to get a mixed response from their friends.

Handler's upcoming project is based on her book, Are You There Vodka? It’s Me, Chelsea  It has been picked up for next season.
