Sheffield Theatres has today announced casting for its production of ME AND MY GIRL this December. Daniel Crossley takes the lead role of Bill Snibson, Jemima Rooper will play Sally and Miriam Margolyes will take the part of the Duchess. The production is the first musical to be staged at the Crucible following its £15.3 million redevelopment. The production will be directed by Anna Mackmin. The production will run from 2 December until 29 January 2011.
The Great Game: Afghanistan - a festival exploring Afghan culture and history through twelve plays, a five day film programme, a ceramic exhibition and discussion sessions will close at the Tricycle Theatre on 29 August 2010.

The European premiere of In The Blood by Suzan-Lori Parks - the first African-American woman ever to win a Pulitzer Prize, and one of America's most successful contemporary playwrights - plays at the Finborough Theatre for a three week season, opening on 17 August 2010, as part of the 30th anniversary year of the Finborough Theatre. [This production replaces the announced production of The Drawer Boy which has been postponed, due to the sudden indisposition of actor Kenneth Bryans.]

Matt Willis and Victoria Hamilton-Barritt will lead the cast in Flashdance The Musical, which opens in the West End at the Shaftesbury Theatre this autumn. Previewing from 24 September 2010 with Gala night on 14 October, Flashdance The Musical is currently booking until 26 February 2011. Award-winning ‘Hollyoaks' star Emma Rigby and ‘Avenue Q' star Daniel?Boys are now confirmed to complete the cast for the London premiere of the psycho-sexual musical thriller, Wolfboy, which premieres at Trafalgar Studios 2 on Tuesday 6 July and runs to Saturday 31 July.
The Landor Theatre's acclaimed production of ‘Smokey Joe's Cafe' is to extend its record-breaking run by three weeks. The first major production of the musical since its West?End run at the?Prince of Wales Theatre in 1996, will now play until Sunday September 12. It had been booking to August 12.
