Full casting is today announced for Sheffield Theatres' production of Hobson's Choice. Barrie Rutter takes the lead role as Henry Horatio Hobson, Zoe Waites will take the part of Maggie Hobson and Sue Wallace plays Mrs Hepworth.

Northern Stage (formerly Newcastle Playhouse) and Sheffield Theatres today announce their first collaboration, a new production of Edward Albee's "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?". The production will be directed by Northern Stage's Artistic Director Erica Whyman. "Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?" will play at Sheffield's Crucible Theatre (Wednesday 16 March - Thursday 7 April) and then continue to Northern Stage (Tuesday 12 April - Saturday 30 April).

The Almeida Theatre's creative learning programme, Almeida Projects, will present the world premiere of a new commission for young people by Natalie Mitchell. Crawling in the Dark, a frank coming of age story inspired by David Eldridge's The Knot of the Heart, will be performed at the Almeida Theatre from 5 - 8 April 2011, directed by Michael Buffong. Designs are by Signe Beckmann, with lighting by Jason Wescombe and sound by Howard Wood.
