André Raphel returns to the Mann Center of the Performing Arts to conduct the Philadelphia Orchestra in “A Night of Gershwin” on Friday, July 27, 2018 at 8pm. The All-Gershwin program will include the Cuban Overture, the Piano Concerto in F with Curtis pianist Micah McLaurin, making his Mann Center debut, Porgy and Bess, A Symphonic Picture and also An American in Paris. The concert is the closing of the Philadelphia Orchestra's Mann Center Residency.

The Pasadena Symphony continues its 90th season on Saturday, March 24th with Rachmaninoff Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini at Ambassador Auditorium with performances at 2pm and 8pm. Music Director David Lockington will lead this mesmerizing program filled with mystery and intrigue, opening with Alexander Miller's contemporary puzzle overture Scherzo Crypto, and closing with an even more cryptic work - the Enigma Variations of Elgar. The program centers around a classic Rachmaninoff melody, with his virtuosic Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini performed by brilliant pianist Andrew von Oeyen.

Assistant Conductor Joshua Gersen will conduct the New York Philharmonic in a program of 20th-century American works: Barber's Adagio for Strings, Bernstein's Symphonic Dances from West Side Story, and Copland's Symphony No. 3, Thursday, February 22, 2018, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, February 23 at 8:00 p.m.; and Saturday, February 24 at 8:00 p.m.

The Pasadena Symphony continues its 90th season on Saturday, November 18th with Mozart Symphony No. 41. Jupiter at Ambassador Auditorium with performances at 2pm and 8pm. Music Director David Lockington will lead a musical voyage around Europe with this tour de force program celebrating three musical giants. Rossini's bright and breezy Barber of Seville overture opens the program, with St. Saens' 2nd Piano Concerto topped off by Mozart's last masterpiece his Symphony No. 41, Jupiter. Named for the King of the Roman gods, known for his joviality, exuberance and great strength, Mozart's final symphony carries the majestic first movement through to an overpoweringly triumphant finish pure exhilaration.

Joshua Gersen, New York Philharmonic Assistant Conductor will guest conduct the Adelphi Orchestra in a sumptuous concert of French masterworks on June 11th at Merkin Concert Hall at the Kaufman Music Center in New York City. Adelphi Orchestra's benefit concert for the orchestra's Young Artist Program "Une Fete en France" will showcase a former Adelphi Orchestra Young Artist Competition winner as guest soloist and will recognize the former winners and current finalists of the Adelphi Orchestra's Young Artist Program. The concert's goal is to generate funds to support future outstanding young musicians through the Young Artist Program's endeavors.

The Pasadena Symphony closes out its 2016-2017 Singpoli Classics Serieswith Beethoven Symphony No. 9 on April 29 with both matinee and evening performances at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. at Ambassador Auditorium. This season finale will envelop audiences with voices from the Donald Brinegar Singers, the JPL Chorus, and the Los Angeles Children's Chorus alongside four stellar solo vocalists: soprano Summer Hassan, mezzo soprano Tracy Van Fleet, tenor Arnold Livingston Geis and bass Steve Pence throughout the concert.
