Where better to spend Halloween than where the 'Legend' lives? Historic Hudson Valley's Halloween season events, the largest in the tri-state area, kick off Friday, Sept. 29 and take place on selected evenings through Saturday, Nov. 25. They will draw more than 200,000 visitors to Sleepy Hollow Country this fall.

Pianist Shai Wosner brings music from his critically acclaimed Impromptu recording to the concert hall, performing works by Schubert, Chopin, Dvo?ak, Gershwin, and Ives on Saturday, October 14, 2017 at 7:30 p.m. at Washington Irving High School. The program, which launches the Peoples' Symphony Concerts season as part of its Mann Series, includes Schubert's Four Impromptus, D935; Chopin's Impromptus, Op. 29 and 36; Dvo?ak's Impromptu in D minor, B129; Gershwin's Impromptu in Two Keys; and Ives's Improvisations for piano, I and III. In addition to these selections from the recording, he performs Schubert's Sonata in D Major, D. 850, Op. 53, "Gasteiner," in a look ahead to his new recital series, Schubert: The Great Sonatas, performed at the 92nd Street Y in the spring.

The Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival announced today their 2017 Annual Summer Gala and HVSF2 Reading Series.

The region's most masterful raconteurs will share true tales of adventure and embarrassment, love and joy, achievement and defeat during StoryStage, a special evening of storytelling at Washington Irving's Sunnyside on Saturday, May 20. Doors open at 7:30pm and the show begins at 8.

Kykuit, the hilltop estate that served as home to four generations of Rockefellers, opens to visitors beginning Thursday, May 4. The Kykuit season lasts through Sunday, Nov. 12.

On May 7, 2017, at 3:00PM, the Greenwich Village Orchestra, led by Music Director and Conductor Barbara Yahr, will close its 30th anniversary season at Washington Irving Campus Auditorium (at 17th St. and Irving Place) with a pops concert, Broadway Downtown, featuring performances by guest artists and Broadway stars Grasan Kingsberry (The Color Purple, Motown The Musical, Nice Work if You Can Get It, Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, Aida) and Betsy Struxness (Hamilton, Matilda, Memphis, Wicked).

Master storyteller Jonathan Kruk will be performing at Historic Hudson Valley's holiday event, Dickens's 'Christmas Carol,' on four December dates. In addition, HHV's Holiday Gift Shop is open weekends through Dec. 18. Scroll down for more details!
