Antonio Pappano to Conduct the New York Philharmonic

Antonio Pappano will return to the Philharmonic to conduct Britten's Piano Concerto (1945 version), with The Mary and James G. Wallach Artist-in-Residence Leif Ove Andsnes as soloist; Saint-Sa ns's Symphony No. 3, Organ, with Philharmonic organist Kent Tritle; and Vaughan Williams's Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Tallis, Thursday, February 8, 2018, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, February 9 at 2:00 p.m.; and Saturday, February 10 at 8:00 p.m.

Stephane Deneve To Conduct All-Prokofiev Program With James Ehnes, 1/25 27

St phane Den ve will conduct the New York Philharmonic in an all-Prokofiev program featuring the Violin Concerto No. 1, with James Ehnes as soloist; selections from Romeo and Juliet; and The Love for Three Oranges Suite, Thursday, January 25, 2018, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, January 26 at 2:00 p.m.; and Saturday, January 27 at 8:00 p.m.

The New York Philharmonic will return to Bravo! Vail in Colorado, celebrating its 30th season, for the Orchestra's 15th annual summer residency, July 21-28, 2017. The residency will include six orchestral concerts that honor the Philharmonic's legacy on the occasion of its 175th anniversary season and the conclusion of Alan Gilbert's tenure as Music Director.

Courtney Lewis To Make Debut With Jonathan Biss As Soloist, 4/20-25

Courtney Lewis, former Assistant Conductor, will make his New York Philharmonic subscription debut leading Jonathan Biss as soloist in Timo Andres's Piano Concerto No. 3, The Blind Banister, and Beethoven's Piano Concerto No. 2; the program also includes selections from Berlioz's Romeo and Juliet and Elgar's In the South (Alassio).

New York Philharmonic Presents BELOVED FRIEND - TCHAIKOVSKY AND HIS WORLD, 1/24-2/11

The New York Philharmonic will present Beloved Friend - Tchaikovsky and His World: A Philharmonic Festival, January 24-February 11, 2017, featuring Russian-born Semyon Bychkov conducting works by Tchaikovsky as well as composers he was influenced by and whom he influenced, with piano soloists Yefim Bronfman and Kirill Gerstein.

Music Director Alan Gilbert will conduct the New York Philharmonic in Berlioz's Les Nuits d'ete, with mezzo-soprano Magdalena Kožena in her Philharmonic debut, and Rimsky-Korsakov's Scheherazade, Today, September 29, 2016, at 7:30 p.m.; Friday, September 30 at 8:00 p.m.; and Saturday, October 1 at 8:00 p.m.

Jazz pianist Aaron Diehl will join Music Director Alan Gilbert and the New York Philharmonic for the 2016-17 season Opening Gala Concert, performing Gershwin's Concerto in F in his New York Philharmonic debut, Today, September 21, 2016, at 7:30 p.m. The concert launches the New York Philharmonic's 175th anniversary season and Music Director Alan Gilbert's farewell season with a program honoring the Philharmonic's legacy of premiering important works, particularly music connected to New York City. As previously announced, the concert will also feature the New York Premiere of John Corigliano's Stomp for Orchestra and Dvo?ak's Symphony No. 9, From the New World.

Alan Gilbert and the New York Philharmonic: 175th Season Begins in September

Music Director Alan Gilbert opens the New York Philharmonic's 175th anniversary season, which also marks his farewell season as Music Director, with three programs featuring Dvo?ak's Symphony No. 9, From the New World - the Philharmonic's first World Premiere of a work written in New York that would become part of the standard repertoire - alongside a New York Premiere, a Philharmonic debut, and other works and soloists closely tied to the Orchestra.

Jason C. Tramm leads the Adelphi Orchestra and guest soloist, violinist Christine Kwak in the Adelphi Orchestra's season finale concert 'Celebrating a Grand Legacy' today, June 9th at New York's Merkin Concert Hall at the Kaufman Music Center. The concert will feature a program of beloved audience favorites: Mendelssohn's Overture to the Hebrides, Tchaikovsky's Concerto for Violin in D Major and Beethoven's Symphony No 5 in C Minor.
