Los Angeles Philharmonic Music Director Gustavo Dudamel will make an appearance on the award-winning preschool series Sesame Street, which begins its 42nd season on September 26 on PBS KIDS (please check your local listings).

For the second weekend in a row, a 17-year-old movie, 'The Lion King,' was number one at the North American box office. The film, re-released by Walt Disney Studios in 3D, earned an estimated $22 million for a two-week total of $61.7 million, according to Hollywood.com.

The Walt Disney Co. pulled off its most successful re-release this past weekend as its 3D version of 1994?s The Lion King earned an estimated $29.3 million in its return to theaters.

Defying all projections, Disney's re-release of 'The Lion King' earned a first-day gross of $8.8 million at the domestic box office, according to the Hollywood Reporter, and is now on course to gross as much as $25 million for the weekend.
