Michael Moeller Productions will present the first show in a new "Theatre for a Cause" series when the musical revue, Lullaby of Broadway is presented in February. Set for 6 performances, Lullaby of Broadway will be presented at the Central Bucks Senior Center located at 700 N. Shady Retreat Rd. in Doylestown, PA. The production will be performed on Friday, February 14 at 8 pm, Saturday, February 15 at 8 pm and Sunday, February 16 at 2 pm. A second weekend of performances is scheduled for February 21 and 22 at 8 pm and February 23 at 2 pm. A portion of the proceeds from each ticket sold will be donated to the Peace Valley Holistic Center of Chalfont, PA and their ongoing programs.
The Eagle Theatre will open its 2014 Season with the popular musical 'Footloose' on Jan. 17. The theatre brought in 24 actors from Philadelphia, Delaware, North Jersey and even New York City to build its largest cast ever.
Milwaukee Repertory Theater announced today that multi-award-winning actor Hollis Resnik will perform the lead role in End of the Rainbow, a theatrical homage to the late, great Judy Garland. An accomplished stage, television and film actor, Resnik brings the depth of acting and musical experience to portray the iconic Garland as well as the emotional intensity and high energy that the role demands. End of the Rainbow runs through March 9 and opens tonight, January 10 on The Rep's Quadracci Powerhouse main stage theater.
The Old Globe today announced the complete cast and creative team for the West Coast premiere of Laura Marks's powerful new play Bethany. Directed by Gaye Taylor Upchurch, Bethany will run Jan. 25 - Feb. 23, 2014 in the Sheryl and Harvey White Theatre, part of the Globe's Conrad Prebys Theatre Center. Preview performances run Jan. 25 - Jan. 29.

Lantern Theater Company, critically acclaimed in Philadelphia for their annual Shakespearean offering, presents The Tragedy of Julius Caesar as the highlight of their 20th season. Directed by the Lantern's Artistic Director Charles McMahon and starring Tony Award-nominated actor Forrest McClendon in the title role, the Lantern's production is inspired by the warrior ethos of feudal Japan, calling into question the rights of the ruler against the rights of his people. The Royal Shakespeare Company and The Dodgers today announced that Paige Brady, Gabriella Pizzolo, Ripley Sobo, and Ava Ulloa have joined the Broadway company of MATILDA THE MUSICAL and will begin performances in the title role over the course of the next few weeks.

Renowned in the region for their productions of gay-themed works, Mauckingbird Theatre Company begins their 2014 season with a down-to-earth look at first love in their production of Beautiful Thing by English playwright Jonathan Harvey.
