Last night, Dr. Ruth Westheimer attended the performance of John Markus and Mark St. Germain's 'The Fabulous Lipitones,' on stage at George Street Playhouse in New Brunswick, and visited with the cast backstage following the performance.

'The Fabulous Lipitones' is the one to see this holiday season at George Street Playhouse now through December 14th. Written by John Markus and Mark St. Germain and directed by Michael Mastro, this new musical comedy is a hit.

Barbershop quartets will take center stage at New Brunswick's George Street Playhouse as they present John Markus and Mark St. Germain's a cappella musical comedy, The Fabulous Lipitones on stage beginning November 18. The cast includes You Tube sensation Rohan Kymal, and Broadway veterans Donald Corren, Wally Dunn and Jim Walton. Michael Mastro (The Subject Was Roses) returns to helm the production, and Broadway veteran Michael Lichtefeld will put the quartet through their paces as choreographer.

Manhattan Musical Theatre Lab's Co-Producing Artistic Directors Frank Evans and Stephen Hanks are proud to announce that the final production of the 2013-14 season from the not-for-profit musical theater development is CURIOUS & RARE, written by Broadway, film, and TV actress and playwright Tracy Sallows (who has also appeared in previous MMTL productions). As previously announced, the York Theatre Company will present the New York premiere of two musicals: a 'New2NY' concert presentation of Jack: A Musical Drama on the Life of John F. Kennedy, and a Developmental Lab presentation of Buddy's Tavern, with book by Raymond De Felitta, music by Kim Oler, and lyrics by Alison Hubbard at The York Theatre Company at Saint Peter's (Entrance on East 54th Street, just east of Lexington Avenue).

Hangar Theatre's annual benefit returns as an epic battle of charades. Acting Out on the Hangar Stage is a light-hearted FUNdraiser in which local personalities go toe to toe with Broadway stars in an a charades competition to support the theatre's education programs. Four teams will compete by acting out entertainment clues for their teammates and also by fundraising for the event, which will take place at the Hangar Theatre on Saturday, October 5 at 6:30pm.

The Actors Fund held a benefit reading of the American classic Our Town last night, March 4, at The Gerald R. Lynch Theatre at John Jay College (524 West 59th Street). Tony Winners Blythe Danner, BD Wong and two-time Tony Award nominee S. Epatha Merkerson shared the role of the Stage Manager for this one night benefit.
