Hilton Worldwide Strengthens Presence in Japan with Hilton Tokyo Odaiba

Hilton Worldwide today announced the signing of a management agreement with Tokyo Humania Enterprise Inc. to re-brand Hotel Nikko Tokyo and manage the hotel as Hilton Tokyo Odaiba. On October 1, 2015, the property will be converted and unveiled as a new Hilton hotel, joining Hilton Worldwide's existing portfolio of 11 operating and pipeline hotels in Japan and expanding the global hospitality brand's footprint in the country.

Major Philippe Parreno Exhibit to Open in June at Armory

For his largest exhibition in the U.S. to date, Philippe Parreno constructs a multi-sensory journey within the monumental interior of Park Avenue Armory's Wade Thompson Drill Hall-guiding and manipulating the audience's experience through the spectral presence of sound and light. H {N)Y P N(Y} OSIS transforms the traditional exhibition experience into a scripted series of rotating events, incorporating new and re-mastered films and objects with live performances by pianist Mikhail Rudy and recorded sound that respond to the Armory's expansive 55,000-square-foot space. Choreographed together, these works form an all encompassing and perpetually evolving artistic composition of operatic proportions.

Roundabout Theatre Company presented its annual 2015 Spring Gala 'There is Nothing Like a Dame' last night, March 2, 2015 in the Grand Ballroom of the Waldorf Astoria (301 Park Avenue, NYC). The evening was a celebration of Oscar, Emmy, and Golden Globe winner Helen Mirren, who was presented with The Jason Robards Award for Excellence in Theatre. The tribute featured appearances by Jennifer Garner & Alessandro Nivola and performances by Laura Benanti,Kristin Chenoweth, Alan Cumming, Santino Fontana, Victor Garber, Donna Murphy, Kelli O'Hara,Alessandro Nivola,Laura Osnes and Betsy Wolfe.

Last night at the Waldorf Astoria New York, guests and a panel of culinary luminaries gathered to select the next Taste of Waldorf Astoria from five dishes created in the kitchens of Waldorf Astoria Berlin, Rome Cavalieri, Waldorf Astoria Hotels & Resorts, Waldorf Astoria Edinburgh - The Caledonian, La Quinta Resort & Club, A Waldorf Astoria Resort, and Waldorf Astoria Shanghai on the Bund. The winning dish, Celery Risotto Alla Waldorf, is the result of a week-long collaboration in Rome between Waldorf Astoria Master Chef Heinz Beck and JBF Rising Star Semi-Finalist Chef David Posey at Rome Cavalieri.

American Conservatory Theater (A.C.T.) Artistic Director Carey Perloff announced today five of the seven productions that will comprise the lineup of the company's 49th subscription season, including the West Coast premiere of Will Eno's inventive new comedy, The Realistic Joneses; OBIE Award winner John Douglas Thompson in Terry Teachout's Satchmo at the Waldorf; the groundbreaking new musical, The Unfortunates; Eugene O'Neill's classic comedy, Ah, Wilderness!; and the world premiere of Monstress, a theatrical adaptation of short stories by San Francisco author Lysley Tenorio.
