The nationally regarded Fulton Theatre opens a monumental new season with the triumphant Billy Elliot: The Musical through October 16. The Tony Award-winning musical features infectious music by the incomparable Sir Elton John including "Shine," "Solidarity,"  "Electricity," and many more!   

The Fulton Theatre continues to experience unprecedented growth. Under the leadership and guidance of Artistic Director Marc Robin and Managing Director Aaron Young, the theatre's audience has increased from 60,000 to well over 130,000 and box office revenue has increased by 300%. The future is brighter than ever for the Lancaster and National treasure, as the Fulton makes plans for future expansion. Part of the expansion includes a reorganization of the Fulton administrative structure, redefining responsibilities throughout the organization. The role of Managing Director has been eliminated and will be replaced by a more focused financial position. The Fulton's Artistic Director, Marc Robin, has been promoted to Executive Artistic Producer and will lead the Fulton through its next phase of growth.

Scripps Ranch Theatre, located on the campus of Alliant International University, presents their 5th Annual Out on a Limb - New Plays from America's Finest City. Scripps Ranch Theatre is a leader in the Southern California Arts Community in developing and producing new plays.

The Lambs is America's First Professional Theatrical Club, established in New York in 1874. As a social club, The Lambs is a social gathering place for entertainment industry and art professionals. Performers, directors, writers, artists and technicians of the entertainment industry gather to celebrate their commonality, in a place where they come to enjoy each others' company, and to display and hone their crafts in an atmosphere of creativity and support, and to nurture creative endeavors, boasting members such as Fred Astaire, Irving Berlin, George M. Cohan, W.C. Fields and John Philip Sousa.  The Lambs is also a historical society preserving and promoting a remarkable 140+ year history. 

The Fulton Theatre kicks off the holiday season with the musical comedy and treat for the entire family, Elf, November 17th through January 3rd. As 'Buddy' says in the script, 'The best way to spread Christmas cheer is singing loud for all to hear,' there are many joyful tunes throughout the production, including 'SparkleJollyTwinkleJingley,' 'A Christmas Song,' 'The Story of Buddy the Elf,' and more!

Fulton Theatre congratulates Heidi Kettenring for receiving the award for Best Actress in a Principal Role - Musical, at the gala 47th Annual Jeff Awards held at Drury Lane Theatre, Oakbrook, IL, on Monday, October 5, 2015, for her role as Anna in THE KING AND I at Marriott Theatre. 

To commemorate the 150th anniversary of the publication of Alice's Adventures in Wonderland, The New York Public Library for the Performing Arts, Dorothy and Lewis B. Cullman Center in Lincoln Center will present the free multimedia exhibition Alice Live! The exhibition will trace the history of Lewis Carroll's beloved Alice stories in live performance from their first professional staging through today. Alice Live! will be on display from October 2, 2015 through January 16, 2016 in The Library for the Performing Arts's Donald and Mary Oenslager Gallery, Shelby Cullom Davis Museum. 

Award-winning actor and director Frank Ferrante will recreate his PBS, New York and London acclaimed portrayal of legendary comedian Groucho Marx in his fast paced 90 minute, hilarious production of Frank Ferrante - An Evening With Groucho to be presented at the Coachella Valley Repertory Theatre in Rancho Mirage, this weekend, August 28, 29, and 30.

While August is quickly winding down, much of the country is still engulfed in an oppressive summer heat. I could tell you that KT Sullivan and Jeff Harnar have done it again, but the truth is that they've done it even better. Their first foray into the Stephen Sondheim songbook last summer, Our Time, consisted of she sings, he sings--each watching the other perform then offering duets. This iteration titled Another Hundred People: Sullivan and Harnar Sing Sondheim—Act II (both at the Laurie Beechman Theatre), beautifully directed by Sondra Lee, considers both characters theatrically, not just vocally, but visually.

On Thursday, June 25, Fulton Theatre named Lancaster Mennonite High School as the 2015 Beth Bash Award recipient for their production of William Shakespeare's 'The Tempest.'  Play director Danielle Hofstetter will accept the award plaque prior to the evening performance of "The Wizard of Oz".  The student actors and crew were awarded complimentary tickets to the performance, and will be recognized and hailed with praise.
