On Saturday evening, May 6, 2023, at the Liederkranz, the establishment of Marshall Opera, New York City’s newest opera company, was announced.

Composer and author Tina Davidson's memoir, Let Your Heart Be Broken, will be published by Boyle & Dalton on March 14, 2023. Davidson, a highly regarded American composer, creates music that stands out for its emotional depth and lyrical dignity.

The American Symphony Orchestra will present Sounds of the American Century, the next concert in its Vanguard series at Carnegie Hall, on Friday, January 25 at 8 pm. The program illustrates how New York City composers of the mid-20th century sought to define a new American sensibility in orchestral music, and will be highlighted by the New York premiere of Vivian Fine's Concertante for Piano and Orchestra.

The American Symphony Orchestra today announced the 57th season of its Vanguard series at Carnegie Hall, running from October 17, 2018 through March 22, 2019. The 2018-19 season will focus on rediscovering works of the 20th century, illuminating masterpieces from the not so distant past and bringing rarely-heard composers to a wider audience. Music director Leon Botstein will conduct all concerts in the series.

Philadelphia's Dolce Suono Ensemble continues the season on December 11, 2016 with The Americas Project / Musica en tus Manos, DSE's highly praised exploration of the chamber music of the U.S. and Latin America, coupled with engagement initiatives in the Latino community of Philadelphia.

American Composers Orchestra (ACO) presents Orchestra Underground: American Accounts on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 7:30pm at Carnegie Hall's Zankel Hall. The concert, led by ACO Music Director & Conductor George Manahan, explores uniquely American stories - both in musical content and in the background of the composers - and features works by Aaron Copland, Milton Babbitt, Gabriel Kahane, and Michael Daugherty. (The premiere of Ian Williams' new piece, previously announced as being part of this concert, has been postponed.)

After successful performances in New Orleans and New York's Weill Hall at Carnegie Hall, pianist/composer Gregg Kallor announces his upcoming engagements. Kallor will bring his unconventional blend of classical works, improvisation, and his own unique music to New Orleans, Chicago, Connecticut and Massachusetts in the summer of 2011.
