World Premiere Of THE SHUCK, Starring Kim Zimmer, to Open this September at Cape May Stage

As the end of summer approaches, we are pleased to announce The Shuck by Shawn Fisher opens September 19th and runs through November 19th. This world premiere by a Cape May native provides a gritty look inside the life of Constance, an oyster boat captain who is forced to face the truth about her family and the secrets that broke them apart so many years ago.

Full Cast Announced For MRS DALLOWAY at Arcola Theatre

Arcola Theatre and Forward Arena today announce the full cast for Virginia Woolf's Mrs Dalloway, a new adaptation by Hal Coase. Thomas Bailey, co-Artistic Director of Forward Arena, directs Emma D'Arcy (Rezia), Sean Jackson (Peter), Clare Lawrence Moody (Sally), Clare Perkins (Clarissa) and Guy Rhys (Septimus). The production opens at Arcola Theatre on 1 October, with previews from 25 September and runs until 20 October.

Cutting Ball Theater Presents UNCLE VANYA

Cutting Ball Theater kicks off its 2018/2019 Season, celebrating 20 years since the company's founding and first production, with a vivid reimagining of Anton Chekhov's enduring classic UNCLE VANYA in a translation by Paul Schmidt. Uncle Vanya is directed by Paige Rogers, Cutting Ball Theater's co-founder and recently exited Artistic Director, the culminating project of Rogers' tenure at Cutting Ball's creative helm. Uncle Vanya opens in preview performances on September 21 and runs through October 21. Press Opening is scheduled for September 27 at 7pm with an Opening performance to follow on September 28 at 8pm. Narrative Feature NELLY to Receive Theatrical Release

NELLY, a narrative feature about the escort turned international literary star, which features the French-Canadian actress and Toronto International Film Festival Rising Star, Mylène Mackay (L'Age adulte, Endorphine) in the title role, will premiere theatrically in select U.S. theaters this September.

Irish Rep Will Celebrate 30th Anniversary With Public Block Party

Irish Repertory Theatre, the New York home for Irish and Irish-American theatre, will celebrate their 30th Anniversary this fall with a special public block party. The event, which is free and open to all ages, will be held on Saturday, September 15, 2018, 30 years to the day from the first-ever Irish Rep performance. Featured performers at the block party will include Tony Award winner Bill Irwin (Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf?) and Leeyna Rideout (War Horse), each of whom have conceived and will star in their own respective solo shows at Irish Rep this fall.

Free Concert Series Celebrates Milestone 1000th Concert In 2018/2019 Season

Winner of the 2002 Tony Award for Best Play, The Goat, or Who is Sylvia? is about a profoundly unsettling subject: the irrational, confounding, and convention-thwarting nature of love. Martin-a hugely successful architect who has just turned fifty-leads an ostensibly ideal life with his loving wife and gay teenage son. But when he confides to his best friend that he is also in love with Sylvia, he sets in motion events that will destroy his family and leave his life in tatters. Albee's boundary-pushing play is puzzling, powerful, bawdy, and disturbing.

The Franklin Performing Arts Company Announces 2018-2019 Season

The Franklin Performing Arts Company (FPAC) has announced its 2018-2019 season. The company's 28th season will include Edward Albee's Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf? (Sept. 21-23), Disney's Newsies choreographed by Broadway cast member Clay Thomson (Oct. 13-14, 19-21), The Nutcracker (Dec. 1-2), Humbug! A Beggar's Opera (Dec. 8-9), an original holiday panto by Nick Paone (Dec. 21-22), You Can't Take it With You (Jan. 25-27), Seussical the Musical (Mar. 8-10, 15-17) , and Cabaret (Jun. 14-15).  The season will close with the 12th annual Whatever Theater Festival (Jul. 31-Aug. 3).

The Media Theatre Presents Theatre Exile's TOMMY AND ME This August

"Tommy and Me" was hailed as "unabashedly sentimental and sincere" by theatre critic Mark Cofta during its premiere at Theatre Exile. The play is an autobiographical account of a seminal time in Didinger's life as he assists his life-long hero, Tommy McDonald, reach the goal of being accepted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
