Primary Stages announces casting for God Said This, written by Leah Nanako Winkler (Two Mile Hollow) and directed by Morgan Gould (Kentucky). Performances begin at the Cherry Lane Theatre (38 Commerce St, New York, NY, 10014) on January 16, 2019 with opening night set for Tuesday, January 29, for a run through February 15, 2019.
The Eli and Edythe Broad Stage in Santa Monica presents Amy Keys, on Friday, December 7 at 8:00pm. Amy Keys is the fourth evening of blackbox @ the edye, which transforms The Edye into a club featuring up-and-coming jazz and blues artists. The series is curated and hosted by The Reverend Shawn Amos; he and his house band perform at select shows during the season as well.
Playwrights Horizons (Artistic Director Tim Sanford, Managing Director Leslie Marcus) will, from today, November 12, through Thursday, November 15, accept entries for the Live for Five online lottery, giving out $5 tickets to the New York premiere production of Noura, from 9 Parts of Desire playwright and actor Heather Raffo and director Joanna Settle. The Washington Post deemed this "epic-feeling, nearly searing portrait of a woman torn between cultures and family" the "best premiere of the Women's Voices Theater Festival" when it made its world premiere in Washington, D.C. earlier this year. Produced in association with Shakespeare Theatre Company, it will be performed at Playwrights Horizons from November 27 to December 30. Playwrights Horizons created Live for Five in 2007 as part of their Arts Access program to reach out to those who may not be able to afford the cost of a full-price theater ticket. Since its inception, over 3,000 theatergoers have been able to attend the theater thanks to the initiative.

The Public Theater announced initial casting today for the world premiere of SOCRATES, written by acclaimed actor, director, and writer Tim Blake Nelson. Berkeley Repertory Theatre today announced the full cast and creative team for Paradise Square: An American Musical. The world premiere is helmed by acclaimed director Moises Kaufman, with choreography by the legendary Bill T. Jones and a book by Marcus Gardley, Craig Lucas, and Larry Kirwan. Music by Jason Howland and Larry Kirwan, with lyrics by Nathan Tysen, and based on the songs of Stephen Foster. Paradise Square is produced by special arrangement with Garth H. Drabinsky in association with Peter LeDonne and Teatro Proscenium Limited Partnership.

Most recently presenting Edward Albee's harrowing masterpiece WHO'S AFRAID OF VIRGINIA WOOLF, only weeks prior to Sam Shepard's Obie Award winning play FOOL FOR LOVE, the electrifying contemporary theatre company has just announced their latest production of Kenneth Lonergan's THIS IS OUR YOUTH, a compassionate living snapshot of the moment between adolescence and adulthood. YOUTH will be directed by the company's Producing Artistic Director Grant McGowen, and will feature Derek Evans, Thien Vuong, and Annie Jacob. It will perform in late November thru December at Pinch 'N' Ouch Theatre, now located in Kirkwood of Atlanta, GA.
