BWW Review: THE PHLEBOTOMIST, Hampstead Theatre

When Bea (Jade Anouka) and Aaron (Rory Fleck Byrne) meet, they both think they've found happiness. He's intelligent, handsome, and with a high rating, she's a phlebotomist in a centre dedicated to blood testing. Char's (Cherrelle Skeete) existence is on the line because of the test, so she turns to her close friend Bea for help. In a world where your genetic profile determines and threatens quality of life, employability, and rights, human relationships turn into a simple game of numbers.

Metro Goldwyn Mayer Pictures presents director Eli Roth's reimagining of the 1974 revenge thriller Death Wish. Dr. Paul Kersey (Bruce Willis) is a surgeon who only sees the aftermath of his city's violence as it's rushed into his ER - until his wife (Elisabeth Shue) and college-age daughter (Camila Morrone) are viciously attacked in their suburban home. With the police overloaded with crimes, Paul, burning for revenge, hunts for his family's assailants to deliver justice. As the anonymous slayings of criminals grabs the media's attention, the city wonders if this deadly avenger is a guardian angel…or a grim reaper. Fury and fate collide in the intense action-thriller Death Wish.

BWW Review: TO KILL A MOCKINGBIRD at ARGENTA COMMUNITY THEATER

Nestled in the the downtown corridor of North Little Rock sits the perfect-sized theater (in my opinion) called the Argenta Community Theater. In this perfect-sized theater, magic happens. This group of talented artists come together and utilize every space harmoniously to tell their stories. The story that I happened to see this time was 'To Kill A Mockingbird.' Now I have to make a confession: I only read half of it in 10th grade and let my friend fill me in on the rest (sorry Mrs. Smith.) My teenaged brain just wasn't mature enough to really appreciate what all this story has to offer. Luckily, though, the Argenta people gave me this opportunity, and I'm so happy I came.

15th Annual Cincinnati Fringe Festival Announced!

Has it been 15 years already? Wow... (Well, technically, it's only been 14 because you don't count the first Festival as a calendar year, and then you have to divide by the square root of - you know what? It doesn't matter!) Know Theatre is once again patently hysterical to offer something for everyone at the region's largest and longest annual theatre and arts festival - that's renowned for being "kinda WEIRD. like YOU!"
