Additional principal casting for this fall's highly anticipated production of REDEMPTION OF A DOGG, directed by Je'Caryous Johnson, has been confirmed.

'Stuntman' received a standing ovation at the LA Film Festival at last night's premiere at the Arclight Culver City. Buzz Aldrin, Kelly Knievel and Evel Knievel's grandson, Rigley Vincent were all in attendance and posed with the film's star, Eddie Braun, in front of the Evel Spirit.

This award-winning circus from Quebec features awe-inspiring moves, such as teeterboard backflips, trapeze work, juggling, and bicycle tricks, while set to live percussion. Austin Film Festival & Writers Conference (AFF), the premier film festival recognizing the writers' contributions to film, television, and new media, announced today the full schedule of films and panels for the 25th Anniversary festival, this October 25-November 1. AFF's feature film slate includes 23 World, North American, and US Premieres, a robust retrospective series, and highly anticipated marquee titles, including Steve McQueen's and Gillian Flynn's modern-day thriller Widows, Peter Farrelly's dramedy period piece Green Book starring Mahershala Ali and Viggo Mortensen, Mike Leigh's period piece Peterloo,  Mickey Rourke-starring boxing drama Tiger, Paul Dano's Wildlife starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Carey Mulligan, and Julia Roberts and Lucas Hedges family drama Ben is Back bowing as AFF's Centerpiece selection, with writer/director Peter Hedges in attendance.

Gravitas Ventures and Devilworks have announced the US Cable VOD and Digital HD release of Josh Laner's gut-wrenching documentary Ken Foster, known to locals as Vancouver's Vincent Van Gogh.  Shot over the course of eighteen months, Laner followed Ken through the streets of Vancouver, documenting his creative process. The result is some of the most stark, visceral footage to ever come out of Vancouver's notorious Downtown Eastside. This documentary features interviews, interactions and the rabbit hole that is the creative process of a broken artist.

Stage Door Theatre's move to the Lauderhill Performing Arts Center (LPAC) has proved to be the right one, according to the company's Executive Producer, Derelle Bunn.  'Our patrons' responses have been totally positive,' she says.  'They love the venue, the ambiance, and the conveniences LPAC offers them.  They've all promised they'll be back, and that they'll be bringing their friends!'

Sam Shepard's Pulitzer Prize winning drama, Buried Child, is now being performed at The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey through October 7. The Shakespeare Theatre of New Jersey continues its 56th season with its fourth Main Stage production, Buried Child. This will mark the first time the Theatre has presented a play by Sam Shepard, who passed away last year. Paul Mullins returns to direct. Veteran company member Sherman Howard leads a cast that features returning company members Anthony Marble and Carol Halstead, as well as Roger Clark, Paul Cooper, Michael Dale, and Andrea Morales, all of whom are making their STNJ debut. Following the announcement of their Opening Night Film, Yen Tan's award-winning AIDS drama 1985, NewFest today announced the full lineup of their 30th annual celebration of the year's best LGBT films from around the world. The program of more than 140 narrative features, documentaries, episodic series and shorts runs from October 24-30 at the SVA Theatre, Cinépolis Chelsea, and The LGBT Community Center in New York City.
