"Vicki Lawrence & Mama: A Two-Woman Show" at the Spencer Theater on Saturday, August 18 at 2 p.m. & 8 p.m. is a multi-media stand-up comedy production that's basically two shows in one. The first half features hilarious sitcom and variety show clips and Lawrence's many behind-the-scenes tales followed by the support-hose-wearing, sassy senior citizen "Mama" in the second half.

A native San Antonion came to town this week. CAROL BURNETT, star of Broadway, television and film, returned to the Majestic Theatre where she has many fond memories. When she came onstage, it was like an old friend had come through the door for a visit. Carol's show was different than most shows. Poway Center for the Performing Arts Foundation's Fall 2012 Season will feature an array of artists continuing the POW! Foundation's eclectic programming. Having co-starred on The Carol Burnett Show for 11 years (1967-1978) and then star of Mama's Family in '83 and then 86-90, she has established herself as one of TV's most endearing comediennes. Lawrence will appear at the Welk Resort in Escondido from May 19-22 in her one-woman - oops! I mean two character - show as herself and of course, Mama.
