Original Celtic Thunder vocalist Paul Byrom decided in Fall of 2010 to leave the group, in order to re-locate to the States and launch his worldwide solo career with a new solo recording. The resulting album, THIS IS THE MOMENT has been released and is available online and at all shows. Byrom's concert tour will take him to the New York area tonight, Sept 21, 2012. He will be at B.B. Kings Blues Club and Grill.

Parenting magazine presented a Lythgoe Family Production of the holiday Panto 'A Snow White Christmas,' running November 30-December 18 at the El Portal Theatre. Last night, November 30 makred the opening night gala benefiting LA's BEST.

This sparkling new version of the classic fairytale Cinderella is a joy for adults and kids alike. In fact, it's done in the style of a British Panto (short for Pantomime), which has nothing to do with silent mime, but is classified as a winter comedy with music hall or vaudeville sensibility and enough audience participation to make it raucous and fun for the entire family. The Lythgoe Family's new entertainment @ the El Portal is certainly that, judging by audience reactions the day I attended. Everyone was cheering, booing and participating in top form making for a fun-filled afternoon.

Minister for Tourism, Culture and Sport, Mary Hanafin, T.D. officially opened the 59th Wexford Festival Opera on Saturday, October 16 on Wexford's Quay front ahead of the traditional spectacular fireworks display, winding up a day of diverse range of top-class family entertainment throughout the town.

Opening for the first time on a Saturday, this year's festival has an expanded programme spanning three weekends which will delight and enthral in equal measure, starting with the official launch.

Minister for Tourism, Culture and Sport, Mary Hanafin, T.D. will officially open the 59th Wexford Festival Opera on Saturday, October 16 on Wexford's Quay front at 7pm, with the traditional spectacular fireworks display winding up the activities on the town at approximately 7:30pm, before all the attention turns to the opening night opera, the Italian lyric tragedy Virginia by Saverio Mercadante. Following the official launch on the quay, the Minister will also attend a ceremony in the Opera House to recognise the achievements of the Wexford Festival Foundation in raising over €5.3m in private donations towards the redevelopment costs of the new building, before attending the opening night opera at 8pm, which will be broadcast live on RTÉ Lyric FM.
