Pittsburgh Public Theater has announced the finalists of the 27th Annual Shakespeare Monologue & Scene Contest. This year's contest was held virtually for the first time in the organization's history in an effort to unite and celebrate students and educators across the region during this time of isolation. Tune in on February 22 at 7:00pm.

Matthew Bourne’s “Romeo and Juliet” is premiering Thursday, February 18 at 5:00 p.m. and streaming Friday, February 19 at 5 and 8 pm; Saturday, February 20 at 2, 5 and 8 p.m. and Sunday, February 21 at 1 and 6:30 p.m. (all times Pacific).

Los Angeles Opera opens its Digital Shorts Series with Gabriela Lena Frank’s  commissioned revision of The Five Moons of Lorca, (Las Cinco Lunas de Lorca). This collaborative piece involves the work of librettist Nilo Cruz, choreographer Irene Rodríguez, and filmmaker Matthew Diamond. Musicians include countertenor Jacob Ingbar, pianist Nicholas Roehler, and members of the LA Opera Chorus. The Five Moons of Lorca, will be streamed through December 25, 2020.
