Cast Announced For MAMMA MIA! International Tour

Full casting has been announced for the sensational feel-good musical MAMMA MIA! which comes to Palace Theatre, Manchester from 3rd - 14th July 2018 as part of its international tour. Shona White (Donna Sheridan), Nicky Swift (Rosie), Helen Anker (Tanya), Tamlyn Henderson (Sam Carmichael), Daniel Crowder (Harry Bright), Matthew Rutherford (Bill Austin), Lucy May Barker (Sophie Sheridan), Phillip Ryan (Sky), Leisha Mollyneaux (Ali), Lottie Henshall (Lisa), Matt Jordan-Pidgeon (Pepper) and Michael Nelson (Eddie) will star in the production. At certain performances the role of Donna Sheridan will be played by Natalie Langston.

As part of the world premiere presentation of Another Brick In The Wall - The Opera-based on Roger Waters' legendary work The Wall-the Opera de Montreal is announcing two added performances: Monday, March 13 at 7:30 pm and Sunday, March 26 at 2 pm. The project brings together Quebec baritone Etienne Dupuis, who will portray fallen rock star Pink, and three exceptional artists: Julien Bilodeau, composer of the new opera vision of the work; Dominic Champagne, stage director of this monument of 80s music; and Alain Trudel, who will conduct the Orchestre Me?tropolitain.

It has just been announced that Tony Award-nominee Melissa Errico will join Michael Feinstein as a special guest at Zankel Hall on March 21 at 7:30pm at Carnegie Hall (881 Seventh Ave.) for 'Standard Time', featuring the music of Harry Warren. Melissa will sing music popularized by such artists as Doris Day, Judy Garland, Vera Lynn and Peggy Lee. The evening will also feature vocals from Jay Armstrong Johnson and instrumentalists Tedd Firth on Piano, Phil Palombi on Bass andMark McLean on Drums as they pay tribute to Harry Warren, the composer of such hits as "I Only Have Eyes for You," "42nd Street," "Chattanooga Choo Choo," and other unforgettable favorites.

BWW Review: The Mabel Mercer Foundation's 26th Annual Cabaret Convention Comes Home to Town Hall, Night Two, October 14

On the second night of this year's 26th Annual Cabaret Convention, Jeff Harnar and Andrea Marcovicci hosted A Sentimental Journey: World War II Songs, inspired by Marcovicci's memorable Oak Room at The Algonquin show, I'll Be Seeing You--Love Songs of World War II. (The CD is highly recommended.) As always with this pair's Convention contribution, the show was a treat in part because of its singular glamour. Much of our audience was exceptionally familiar with and nostalgic about these songs. A few had to be politely quieted for singing along, more than a few took each other's hands. It seems I've heard that song before . . . the co-hosts begin, warming the room.
