The Will Geer Theatricum Botanicum's nine-year old development series for playwrights, 'Botanicum Seedlings,' announces the recipient of the first annual 'Izzy' award. The winning play, How to Shoot a Bull Moose by New York playwright Jonathan Goldberg, was presented as part of last season's spring playreadings.

Silk Road Theatre Project will end the first production of its 2010 season on April 11th.The show was the World Premiere of THE DNA TRAIL: A Genealogy of Short Plays about Ancestry, Identity, and Utter Confusion, conceived by SRTP's artistic director Jamil Khoury, commissioned by Silk Road Theatre Project, directed by Steve Scott, and featuring new plays by Philip Kan Gotanda, Velina Hasu Houston, David Henry Hwang, Jamil Khoury, Shishir Kurup, Lina Patel, and Elizabeth Wong.

Lark Uses NEA New Play Money For 'AGNES UNDER THE BIG TOP'

The Lark Play Development Center was one of five theaters selected for the first-ever NEA Distinguished New Play Development Project. Each theater receives $20,000 to support early development activities for a new play which the Lark will be using to implement a national, multi-theater development strategy for Aditi Brennan Kapil's AGNES UNDER THE BIG TOP, A FAIRY TALE.
