Roundabout Theatre Company (Todd Haimes, Artistic Director) presents a new Broadway production of the classic musical On the Twentieth Century starring Tony & Emmy Award winner Kristin Chenoweth, Golden Globe, SAG Award winner & Tony nominee Peter Gallagher, Tony nominee Andy Karl, Mark Linn-Baker, Tony winner Michael McGrath and Tony winner Mary Louise Wilson. On the Twentieth Century is choreographed by Tony winner Warren Carlyle and directed by six-time Tony nominee Scott Ellis, and features music by Cy Coleman, and book & lyrics by Betty ComdenandAdolph Green. On the Twentieth Century is based on plays by Ben Hecht, Charles MacArthur & Bruce Millholland. The original Broadway production was directed by Harold Prince. The production officially opened last night, and you can check out photos from the red carpet below!

As BroadwayWorld previously reported, Roundabout Theatre Company's Broadway production of On the Twentieth Century now technically opens on Sunday, March 15, 2015, as a result of Peter Gallagher missing a week of performances due to a sinus infection. Sickness didn't stop the show however, and the company celebrated their opening on the originally planned March 12- last night! Harlem's Fashion Row (HFR) presented Style Beat, its first-ever West Coast event during Grammy Awards weekend in Los Angeles. The glamorous daytime affair took place on Friday, February 6th at a luxurious Beverly Hills estate. HFR is a unique movement founded to increase diversity in fashion by producing events to educate, stimulate, and advance opportunities for emerging designers of color. Collections by four talented and diverse fashion designers were showcased to a select group of 250 tastemakers. The featured designers were the legendary L.A.-based designer Kevan Hall, custom menswear designerWaraire Boswell, and emerging designers, Joseph Bethune and 'Project Runway' finalist Kimberly Goldson.

Raven Theatre Company, currently performing the Chicago Premiere of Horton Foote's Dividing the Estate, is presenting a free screening of the new film version of The Trip to Bountiful, arguably Foote's best-known play. The film, which was produced by Lifetime Films and aired on Lifetime Television in 2014, reunited Cicely Tyson and Vanessa Williams in the lead roles they performed for the play's 2013 Broadway revival. That production and this film are significant in that African-Americans were cast in roles traditionally played by white actors throughout the piece's history as first a 1953 teleplay and stage play and the 1985 feature film as well as countless stage productions over the past 60 years.

Tony winner and Broadway superstar Idina Menzel will sing the National Anthem and John Legend will sing 'America The Beautiful' as part of Super Bowl XLIX pregame festivities at University of Phoenix Stadium in Arizona on Sunday, February 1, the NFL and NBC announced today. The performances will be televised live on NBC prior to kickoff.

Hallie Foote, an actress best known for playing some of her father's most memorable characters both on and off Broadway and in feature films, will visit Raven Theatre tonight, January 14, to discuss the legacy of her father, the playwright Horton Foote, author of Raven's upcoming Chicago premiere of Dividing the Estate, as well as The Trip to Bountiful, The Young Man from Atlanta and the Academy Award-winning screenplays for Tender Mercies and To Kill a Mockingbird.
