Broadway Records, Seth Rudetsky and James Wesley announce a fundraising single to benefit LGBT Center of Central Florida.

The cast of the new Off-Broadway revival of the hit musical You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown set down tracks for the new cast recording on Monday, June 13, 2016 at Avatar Studios. Broadway Records will release the 2016 Off-Broadway cast recording, now available for pre-order at broadwayrecords.com and Amazon, and will be available on iTunes and other retailers on September 16, 2016. Last evening, the Palace Theater (Waterbury, CT) hosted the eighth annual Connecticut High School Musical Theater Awards, a black tie gala event that celebrates the arts and recognizes individual artistry in vocal, dance and acting performances as exhibited by Connecticut high school students. 20 schools from across the state came together to celebrate the achievement, craft and talents that make high-quality, musical theater education happen.

Disaster! producers Robert Ahrens and Hunter Arnold and Broadway Records President Van Dean today announced the release of 'Never Can Say Goodbye,' the first single from the forthcoming Original Broadway Cast Recording (out Friday, September 9, 2016), available for digital download on the label's website at BroadwayRecords.com. The classic 70's single is performed by 2016 Tony Award nominee Jennifer Simard of the critically-acclaimed new musical comedy.

The York Theatre Company (James Morgan, Producing Artistic Director; Evans Haile, Interim Executive Director), dedicated to the development of new musicals and the preservation of musical gems from the past, in association with Van Dean and Sister Productions, will present the hit musical You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown with book, music and lyrics by Clark Gesner and additional material by Andrew Lippa, directed by York's Associate Artistic Director Michael Unger with music direction by Eric Svejcar.  

It's only a few moments before choreographer Jennifer Paulson- Lee will watch her cast give the press a 'sneak peek' of their rehearsals. They're preparing to perform three musical numbers from 'You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown' which will be presented at The York Theatre beginning this week for a limited engagement. What's unique about this revival is the fact that a pint-sized cast of 9 to 13 year olds is performing all the roles. But don't let their ages fool you. This young bunch of talented thespians has a list of professional credits that any seasoned 35-year-old performer would envy. As the press files into the theatre, Paulson-Lee is busy making last minute corrections on her young charges. She is gentle and soft-spoken yet gets her point across to these eager children who take her notes and make the adjustments on the spot. The mutual love and admiration between this gang of peanuts and their dance master is all too evident.

The York Theatre Company, in association with Van Dean, Tony Heyes/Mia Moravis and Sister Productions, has announced the complete cast for the hit musical You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown with book, music and lyrics by Clark Gesner and additional material by Andrew Lippa and Michael Mayer. 

Six licensed productions of the musical, LIZZIE, are slated for 2016-17. LIZZIE, a rock show retelling of the infamous Lizzie Borden axe murders, became available for licensing in February.
